Turku Castle has stood on the banks of the Aura River since the 1180s. Throughout history, it has served many roles: a defensive fortress, a grand court, an administrative center, a prison, a warehouse, and a barracks. It showcases the castle's complex history from ancient times to the present, displaying furniture, clothing, and treasured collections from various periods. In the Children's Castle Knight's Hall, children can dress up as princesses or knights and immerse themselves in the world of the medieval court. The museum shop offers a variety of gifts, small souvenirs, and children's knight and princess costumes. In the Duke's Cellar, you can enjoy a refreshing cup of coffee or a delicious lunch, enjoying a relaxing moment like medieval nobility.Turku · 2.8km from downtown

Turku Cathedral is one of the three most famous sights in Turku, along with Turku Castle and Handicraft Museum. Turku Cathedral is located in the downtown area on the upper Aura River and is an early church of the Finnish Lutheran Church. The peculiarity of this church is that there are chapels attached to both sides of the hall. In the early days, there were altars dedicated to various saints in the chapel. Later, they gradually became tombs, and many famous people in history were buried. Today, there is a small museum in the church, which displays some of the cultural relics preserved in the cathedral and introduces visitors to the history and religious ceremonies of the cathedral. Every year, a month before Christmas, a Christmas market opens in front of the cathedral. Every year at twelve o'clock on Christmas Eve, Finns wait from the radio for the Christmas bells in Turku Cathedral. For Finns, Christmas starts in Turku.Turku · 648m from downtown

After the weather cleared up in Marseille, the sky was so blue that it looked like a postcard~ [grin][Yeah]. I felt very happy. Although this was my second visit, I still felt fresh and looked forward to it.

Turku's most famous monuments are the ancient castles and cathedrals left over from the Middle Ages. The ancient castles and cathedrals are situated on the banks of the Ola River. The old castles are located at the mouth of the lower reaches of the Ola River. The cathedral is located in the downtown area of the upper reaches, far from the old castle. Turku Cathedral is the main church of Lutheranism in Finland and the most famous medieval cathedral in Finland. The cathedral was built in 1229. Pure naturalism has been proved here again. The cathedral is made of primitive rocks. After many times of expansion, it has been continuously heightened and thickened to the present scale. Looking from the outside, the tall exterior wall has no whitewash, showing the mottled traces of perennial wind and rain erosion.

This is an awesome stadium. Seats are comfortable and the atmosphere is fantastic. The food and drink is reasonably priced and you aren’t allowed alcohol in your seat which makes sense with a lot of families around. Overall well worth a visit to see The Trojans place some ice hockey
