My visit to the Yunnan Provincial Museum was made incredibly fortunate by the professional and gentle guidance of Ms. Cui. The entire experience was excellent, and I gained a great deal. I wholeheartedly recommend her! Ms. Cui possesses a solid and profound knowledge base. Her explanations are logically clear and progressively structured, avoiding dry and tedious rote memorization. Instead, she seamlessly connects Yunnan's ancient Dian civilization, the Nanzhao and Dali kingdoms, and its modern ethnic history, weaving scattered artifacts into a vibrant tapestry of millennia-old cultural heritage.
Regarding the museum's prized artifacts, such as the Bronze Ox and Tiger Case, the Four-Ox Gilded Knight Shell Container, and the Garuda, Ms. Cui meticulously dissected the artifacts' shapes, craftsmanship details, and historical significance, supplementing the content with numerous interesting anecdotes and cultural backgrounds beyond the textbook. The originally static and impersonal artifacts became warm and engaging under her vivid narration, allowing us to truly understand the unique charm of the ancient Dian culture and the brilliant heritage of Southwest China's civilization.
Ms. Cui's pacing was perfect, maintaining an appropriate pace and making the explanations easy to understand, catering to the comprehension levels of different visitors. Throughout the visit, she was patient and gentle, proactively answering questions with a kind and responsible attitude. Her passion and sincerity for cultural heritage work were palpable.
What was initially a cursory tour became incredibly meaningful thanks to Ms. Cui's professional explanations. We not only gained a deeper understanding of Yunnan's millennia-long history but also immersed ourselves in the unique cultural heritage of the region. An excellent guided tour is the key to unlocking history. Many thanks to Ms. Cui!
