Highlights: Place du Parlement is an Italian-style square in the center of Bordeaux, France, adjacent to Place de la Bourse and Place Saint-Pierre. On April 17, 1952, it was listed as a French Historic Monument. It takes its name from the Parliament of Bordeaux, founded in 1451 and abolished in 1790. It is surrounded by buildings from the first half of the 18th century, with ornately decorated exterior walls. The Parliament Fountain was installed in 1865 during the Second Empire and was designed by the Bordeaux architect Louis Garros.
