Highlights: The La Fenice was born in 1792. This upside-down cake-shaped Baroque building is the oldest public opera house in Europe. The ill-fated it has been destroyed by fire three times in more than 200 years, and has been rebuilt or renovated three times. Operas such as "El Nani", "Rigoletto", "La Traviata" and "Father and Daughter" have all premiered here.
