Take a bus from Beppu Station to the Cable Car Kogen Station, a journey of about half an hour. The first cable car runs at 9:00 AM, so it's recommended to arrive at the Cable Car Kogen Station by 8:50 AM. By then, you'll be able to line up for the cable car, and the first ride will be less crowded. The views from the mountain are stunning, offering panoramic views of Beppu city and the Yufuin area.
