还不曾去过倒悬山!The Amazon rainforest is the largest rainforest in the world, larger than Europe, at 7 million square kilometers. Stretching from the lower slopes of the Andes Mountains to the Atlantic coast of Brazil, the Amazon rainforest is vital to the health of the world and all the living things that live in it. The trees absorb carbon dioxide, a gas that in large quantities warms the planet and harms the climate, melting the polar ice caps and causing floods. Trees also produce oxygen, which is essential for human and all animal life. Some rainforest trees grow extremely tall, reaching more than 60 meters. Their leaves form a "canopy" like an umbrella that blocks out the light, so that few short plants grow under the trees.
