It is a village inhabited by ethnic Russians that has preserved its pristine character. With a population of approximately 320, over 40% are of Russian descent, fostering a unique Russian culture. The village's architecture is primarily log cabins, with Russian-style churches and traditional dwellings preserved. The area boasts Sino-Russian boundary markers, border outposts, and a riverside park. In 2019, Beihong Village was selected as one of the first national key villages for rural tourism.
