First, park your car at the entrance to the attraction. There's a spacious parking lot, which is very convenient. Then, take the shuttle bus up the mountain. After circling for about 30 minutes, you'll reach the summit. There's a small museum with stunning views. Then, you'll start a fascinating walk, weaving and weaving, sometimes up slopes, sometimes into caves. It's quite interesting. After an hour or two of this, you'll reach another parking spot, take the shuttle bus back to the attraction ticket office, and then pick up your car and go home. The entire journey takes at least six hours. I personally think it's worth it. The entrance fee is a bit expensive.

5 stars! A thousand-year-old city hidden in Northwest China, the night view and food are absolutely amazing! A must-visit treasure in Tianshui! The free admission to the ancient city is such a generous offer; I was instantly hooked after exploring it. The ancient residences from the Ming and Qing dynasties are incredibly well-preserved, with exquisite wood and brick carvings that are breathtaking. The courtyard layout of the north and south houses is particularly stunning; stepping inside feels like stepping back in time. Wearing Hanfu for photos is incredibly photogenic, and in the morning when it's less crowded, you can take pictures effortlessly. The vibrant atmosphere of the ancient city is truly captivating! The streets and alleys are filled with Tianshui's signature snacks: spicy and chewy "guagua," refreshing and tangy "jiangshui noodles," and springy "laolao" (a type of noodle). You can't go wrong with any of the small shops; sit down and slurp down a bowl after a long walk—pure bliss! There are also shops selling intangible cultural heritage handicrafts and creative cultural products; you can discover many surprises at a leisurely pace. It's not overly commercialized, allowing for a truly relaxing stroll. And the night view deserves special mention! As dusk settles, red lanterns illuminate the cobblestone streets, creating a vibrant atmosphere in the ancient buildings. Occasionally, you might even catch a street band performance or a Qinqiang opera, adding to the lively yet charming ambiance. The guesthouse we stayed at in the ancient town was incredibly stylish with its retro decor. The owner was warm and attentive, even sharing hidden tourist routes. It was within walking distance of the Fuxi Temple and Yuquan Temple, making it super convenient. The facilities were excellent, and the staff were very attentive. Overall, a fantastic experience! Whether you want to immerse yourself in history and culture or simply enjoy the food and photos, Tianshui Ancient Town is definitely worth a visit. I'll definitely bring my friends back next time! Would you like me to compile a detailed list of "food and photo spots" in the ancient town, highlighting specific shops and the best photo locations?

You must visit the Fuxi Temple, the first of the Three Huangs. In fact, I like the fireworks in the streets and alleys of Tianshui the most. After visiting Fuxi City, I walked straight out and found a big market with all kinds of fruits and food. I bought a big bag, thanks to the hotel front desk who told me.

The staff greeted us with smiles throughout, answered all our questions, and when we needed extra pillows, they were delivered to our room within minutes. The cleanliness was impeccable; there wasn't a speck of dust in any corner, and the cups and utensils were thoroughly sterilized. This attentive service has already earned me a recommendation to my friends!

Maijishan Grottoes are quite unique. The grottoes are carved into the cliff face of a solitary mountain peak, with each cave resembling a bird's nest. Visitors can only climb up and down via elevated walkways, which is quite thrilling, though a bit scary for those with a fear of heights 😂. Most of the Buddha statues here are made of clay, unlike those in other grottoes. The sculptures are very lifelike, which is also related to the clay sculpture technique, as it is easier to carve and refine them this way.

This is fun and very safe. The masters of the sheepskin rafts No. 65 and 66 that we took were very nice and sang local folk songs for us. Shapotou, Ningxia is worth visiting.

Zhongwei Desert Star Hotel offers a dreamlike desert journey. Location & Environment: Located on the edge of the Tengger Desert, the hotel's unique star-shaped architecture stands out prominently in the desert, like a dazzling star. My sand-view room featured floor-to-ceiling windows and a terrace, offering breathtaking views of the desert sunrise and sunset. The toiletries were L'Occitane, of high quality. Dining Experience: The hotel's buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, including Chinese and Western cuisine. The stewed lamb chops were particularly memorable for their tender and juicy flavor. However, some dishes could be improved, and overall, the dining experience could be better. Activities Experience: The hotel offers a wealth of activities, including professional stargazing tours. Far from light pollution in the desert, you can clearly see the Milky Way and countless stars, with professional explanations provided by staff – a truly awe-inspiring experience. There are also family-friendly activities such as desert hiking and handicrafts, perfect for families with children. Service Experience: The staff were warm and friendly, providing attentive service from the initial reception at the scenic area entrance to after check-in. They provide a detailed activity schedule and map upon check-in, and even give you complimentary tickets to the Shapotou Scenic Area; it's a very thoughtful touch. ↓

The tomb of Li Maozhen, an important military governor of the late Tang Dynasty, and his wife. Because of past looting, protective excavations have been carried out. Both tomb passages are covered with murals. In particular, the passageway of Li Maozhen's tomb retains much of its original color, and the figures are vividly portrayed. The brick carvings of the twelve zodiac animals and eighteen musicians in Li's tomb are exquisite examples of brick carving from the Sui, Tang, and Five Dynasties. The brick carvings of the flying eaves and the end towers in his wife's tomb are rare, and the brick carvings of sedan chairs and horses are also exquisite. With the exception of two replica stone coffins, the rest of the murals, brick carvings, and funerary objects are essentially originals, possessing high historical and artistic value. The entrance fee is 45 yuan, which is quite worth it.

Zhongwei Highway 66 is located in Shapotou District, Zhongwei City, Ningxia. On the road from the city to the ancient village of South Long Beach or North Long Beach, this rural road is passing by the Yellow River because it has to pass through the rolling valley. Some places have straight roads that extend to a distance and can't see the end. Known as Zhongwei Highway 66. The total length is about 38 kilometers, the width is about meters, and the sea dials about 1600. Highway 66 is the net red attraction that Zhongwei has to go to.

Shapotou was amazing! Our tour guide, Xiao Zhou, was incredibly attentive and warm! The itinerary was well-planned. He even sang Ningxia's "Hua'er" (a traditional Chinese opera) for us, told jokes and performed clappers, and had us laughing all the way. It made our desert trip incredibly fun. I'll definitely be back next time!
