Eight restaurants in Bangkok were selected for the list, with Gaggan Anand’s eponymous restaurant at the top (No.3), offering a chef’s table experience limited to 14 people. Nusara, helmed by chef Ton, ranked No.6 and is also the winner of this year’s Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award. Sühring (No.7) followed closely behind, rising 15 places from last year and performing well. Sorn ranked No.11, followed by Le Du (No.12), which topped the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 list. Potong rose 18 places to No.17, with chef and owner Pichaya ‘Pam’ Soontornyanakij winning the Asia’s Best Female Chef Award 2024. “No-menu” Thai restaurant Samrub Samrub Thai returned to the list at No.29. Baan Tepa, an experiential restaurant located in the ancestral home of chef and owner Chudaree ‘Tam’ Debhakam, ranked No.42.
Haoma in Bangkok won the Sustainable Restaurant Award and made its debut in the 51-100 list at No.90. The restaurant is run by Deepanker Khosla, one of the first winners of the Champions of Change Award for The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2021. Haoma is a strong advocate of farm-to-table and zero-waste cooking, growing its own hydroponic vegetables and sourcing ingredients from local organic farms.
