It's a very atmospheric village with charming log cabins and bridges. There's a free shuttle bus that takes you to your desired destinations, and it runs quite frequently. I experienced the log cabins, the stream, and even went up to the Harden Observation Deck to overlook the entire Hemu Village!
This is my second time staying in Hemu Village. The clear and turbulent Hemu River, Harden Viewing Platform, cabins, and eagles 🦅 still left me with a good impression and a good experience.

The three bays of Kanas in Burqin County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, each attract tourists with its unique natural landscape and mysterious legends. Wolong Bay is a series of river bends with winding shorelines formed by the long-term lateral erosion and scouring of the Kanas River. The river slows down here and the water surface is gently rippled. Downstream is the Wolong Bay platform, which is 800 meters long, 450 meters wide and covers an area of 36,000 square meters. Climbing up the lateral moraine platform at an altitude of 1,500 meters beside the east road, you can overlook the panoramic view of the Ω-shaped river bend, which looks like a dragon lying and playing in the water, hence the name Wolong Bay.
Wolong Bay is picturesque
Wolong Bay has a cool climate, abundant rainfall and flat terrain.
There are two peninsula-shaped platforms on both sides of the Wolong Bay River Bay, which surround Wolong. There is a crescent-shaped platform on the river bend, which is conducive to tourists walking on the plank road to take pictures and play. We walked to the platform at the end to play, but time was limited, so we didn't go to the platform in front.
The water of Kanas Lake flows into Wolong Bay from the northwest corner of the river bay. Jikepulin Yunxiao Peak is a must-see in Xinjiang's Altay Prefecture. It's the highest peak in the Hemu Scenic Area, at 2,800 meters above sea level. It boasts breathtaking scenery and is a unique spot where you can see four countries at a glance. Atop the peak stands a massive golden "禾"-shaped boundary marker. Looking south, you can see the entire Hemu Scenic Area and Hemu Old Village.
From the visitor center, take a shuttle bus down the mountain, then take a cable car (with one transfer) that stretches over 4,900 meters to the summit. The mountain scenery from the cable car is breathtaking, with wildflowers blooming everywhere, cattle grazing leisurely midway, and a winding path winding up the mountain.
The summit is vast, with both dirt and stone paths. The mountain monument, the four-country boundary marker, wooden elevation frames, aobo for prayers, prayer wheels, and unique wooden plaques with verses are all perfect photo spots, especially under a blue sky and white clouds, making for stunning photos.
The transfer point leads down to the midpoint. There's a giant "I❤Jickpoll" sign here, and the cliffside swings are a thrilling and fun spot for photos.
All in all, it's a worthwhile trip. I heard the skiing here is even more thrilling in the winter...
