Didn't get to see heavens gate due to the clouds covering the whole area like fog, but the sea of clouds under me after going up the top of the mountain made it worth the missed opportunity !
I've always wanted to go to Tianmen Mountain, and I finally made it this time. There were six of us, big and small, and we climbed the 999 stairs. I was the last one to reach the top. The scenery was beautiful. Standing high up, you can see far. Most importantly, the weather was great. Even though it was summer, it wasn't too hot, and there were white clouds to block out the sun. Hahahaha

It's very convenient to buy tickets online. I took a photo when entering the park, and then used my facial recognition to enter, exit, and take public transportation in the park for the next few days. It was very practical. It saved a lot of time, especially during large crowds.
The forest park is quite large, and tickets are valid for four days. You can make reservations for re-entry within four days, so you can enjoy the park for two days on your first visit. There's a convenient shuttle bus service. The cable car requires a separate ticket, but you can purchase a package. Golden Whip Stream is very cool in the summer, and it's a great place to take children to tread water and see monkeys.

It's a pleasant time to visit the Yellow Crane Tower scenic area in the cool autumn weather. There aren't many tourists. Climbing up to the main building to see the panoramic view of the three towns of Wuhan and taking a walk in the park is very pleasant!
The Yellow Crane Tower is a must-see for visitors to Wuhan. It's a truly unique attraction, and even before the holidays, the atmosphere was already festive. From the tower, I saw the Yangtze River Bridge, a sight I'd longed to see.

Experience the romance and elegance of ancient literati during a nighttime visit to Tengwang Pavilion. Beyond the light show, the pavilion itself is a legend. Feel the river breeze, admire the nightscape, and imagine the ancient saying of ascending a high tower alone and gazing out across the vast expanse of the world—a truly unique experience.
It's especially beautiful at night. The lights are on at 9 o'clock. There are performances at night. You can go up to the tower first, then wait for the show to end and then go to the front to take pictures. There are also some small fireworks. There is nothing to see inside the tower. You can't see the lake at night. The main thing is to see the lights. If you don't buy a ticket, you can't see the front.

It was my first time to visit Changsha with my kids. I thought I would just have a quick tour, so I ordered a tour on Ctrip. It turned out to be really worth it. It was 69 yuan per person for a 90-minute tour that was very detailed. I asked for the guide, and she was called Minmin. You can ask her for help. She is very professional and doesn't slack off.
Teacher Luo is so kind and knowledgeable! I was taking notes on the points she mentioned as we walked. Then she said, "It seems like she brought a secretary with her today!" Hahahaha

Reservations are required to visit Orange Island. We recommend taking a sightseeing bus, which takes about 3.5 kilometers and is quite strenuous. Here's a guide: 1. Reservations and Entry Reservation Channels: Book through the "Yuelu Mountain Orange Island Tourist Area" WeChat Official Account. Or follow "Changsha Local Treasure" and text "[Orange Island]" to access the reservation portal. Entry: On Foot: After making a reservation, scan your ID/reservation code at the central entrance to enter the park. This is suitable for those with ample time. Sightseeing Bus: After making a reservation and purchasing your ticket (recommended), check your ticket in front of the Visitor Center and board the bus, saving energy. Suggested Route: Sightseeing bus directly to the sculpture area → Tour the sculpture and surrounding area → Return along the riverside trail. Sightseeing bus directly to the sculpture area → Tour the sculpture and surrounding area → Return along the riverside trail.
The service attitude is not good. I booked it on Ctrip.com and it took a long time to confirm the boarding. The service provider said that they had never received orders from third-party platforms and complained why I couldn't buy it on the spot.

Location: Located at 108, Section 2, Xiangjiang Middle Road, on the Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt at the intersection of Xihu Road and Xiangjiang Avenue in Tianxin District, Changsha City, Hunan Province. Architectural Features: The four-story, 18-meter-high main pavilion is the largest imitation Tang Dynasty architectural complex in Changsha, featuring flying eaves, brackets, and carved beams and painted rafters. It covers over 6,000 square meters and has a building area of over 3,800 square meters. Historical Origins Du Fu and Changsha: In 768, during the third year of the Dali reign of the Tang Dynasty, Du Fu came to Changsha to seek refuge with his good friend Wei Zhijin. However, Wei had already passed away, so Du Fu rented a house on the Xiangjiang River and named it "Jiangge." He spent the last two years of his life there, commemorating over 50 poems, including masterpieces such as "Meeting Li Guinian in Jiangnan." Pavilion Commemoration: Construction was decided by the Changsha Municipal Government in 2002, completed in 2005, and officially opened in 2006, continuing a commemorative tradition initiated by scholars during the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty. Cultural Significance Hunan Cultural Landmark: Known as "Changsha's Business Card and Hunan's Living Room," it was selected as one of the "New Eight Scenic Spots of Xiaoxiang" in 2006. Poetic Heritage: The pavilion displays Du Fu's poems from his time in Hunan, connecting the past and present and embodying the "poetic spirit of history." Architecture and Exhibitions Structural Layout: Main Pavilion: A four-story, 18-meter-tall, Tang Dynasty-style pavilion housing the Du Fu Memorial Hall and exhibition halls for poetry, calligraphy, and paintings. Garden Area: Contains a long corridor, stele pavilion, and teahouse, covering over 6,000 square meters. Exhibition Details: First Floor: Statue of Du Fu and relief depicting "Du Gongbu's Travels in Xiaoxiang." Second Floor: Memorial Hall, showcasing Du Fu's statue and life story. Third Floor: A special exhibition of Du Fu's poems from his time in Hunan. Fourth Floor: "Jiyaxuan" for cultural exchange and exhibition of fine works. Visiting Suggestions: Climb the Pavilion for a panoramic view: Overlooking the Xiangjiang River, Orange Island, and Yuelu Mountain.
It's very beautiful. I stayed in a guesthouse opposite Du Fu Jiangge. It's very convenient to get around. I saw both the daytime and night views and even went up to the top. The breeze from the Xiangjiang River was so comfortable!!!

The tour guide is good, humorous and friendly. The description of the ten treasures of the museum is detailed. It's a pity that we are too rushed, otherwise we would definitely choose 3 hours. There are so many treasures in the Provincial Museum. I will come again next time.
I signed up for a tour late last night. Luckily, it was Teacher Wang Hui's tour. I took my second-grade child on a tour of the exhibition hall. Teacher Wang's explanations were very lively, and the children interacted very well. We learned a lot from the two-plus hours. We were able to address many areas of our knowledge gaps. It was a truly wonderful visit. Thank you, Teacher Wang Hui!

It's a good scenic spot. The whole scenic area is not big, but it is very exquisite. The Qingchuan Pavilion is eye-catching. You can see the Yellow Crane Tower across the Yangtze River and the whole Wuchang is in sight.
After taking the ferry from Qingchuan Wharf, we arrived at the Qingchuan Pavilion scenic area. Qingchuan Pavilion, facing the Yellow Crane Tower across the river, is considered one of Wuhan's three major scenic spots, along with the Yellow Crane Tower and Guqin Terrace. Qingchuan Pavilion was originally built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, when Hanyang Prefect Fan Zhizhen constructed the Xue Yuji Palace. Qingchuan Pavilion itself is perched on a hill. Ascending to the second floor offers panoramic views of the Yangtze River and the Yangtze River Bridge in the distance. The gentle river breeze from the pavilion is a truly relaxing experience.

There are direct buses from both Yueyang High-Speed Railway Station and the train station, making it very convenient. The scenic area isn't very large, and the main building can be explored in about half an hour. There's a queue to get upstairs, with the number of people limited to around 60 at a time. The view from up there is quite pleasant. Downstairs from the main building, you'll find several layers of city walls, all visible along the river. The environment is pleasant, with plenty of flowers and trees, and plenty of benches for resting. If you have time, check it out.
The explanation was average, very formulaic... The kids tried to ask questions a few times, but I don't know if they didn't hear me or what, but they didn't answer at all. It wasn't a large group, it was a one-on-two tour. It really shouldn't be so formulaic...
