Standing on the edge of the cliff of Grand Canyon National Park, the scenery in front of you will make you hold your breath. The rock layers are like a painting of time, from reddish brown to golden yellow, and each layer has witnessed the changes of the earth for billions of years. The canyon is deep and magnificent, the Colorado River meanders at the bottom of the valley, the sun shines on the rock walls, and the colors change with time, which is so beautiful that people are reluctant to look away.

You can feel the shock of the Grand Canyon more by exploring on foot. Whether it is the Bright Angel Trail on the South Rim or the Kaibab Trail on the North Rim, you can see the canyon scenery from different angles along the way. There are steep cliffs under your feet and endless wilderness in the distance. Walking in it is both exciting and awed. If you have enough time, take a helicopter to overlook the canyon, or ride a mule deep into the valley. The feeling of being there is even more indescribable. The following are the travel suggestions:
★★★ The essence of the park - Red Line, you need to take the (blue line) and transfer to the (red line) at the visitor center to arrive. There is a (direction arrow) at each station on the map below. If you look carefully, you should find that: some stations have arrows on one side and circles on the other side, and some have arrows on both sides. The arrow represents the direction of the shuttle bus. For example: if there is only one arrow and it points to (west), then only the shuttle bus heading west will stop at this station, and the car in the opposite direction will not stop at this station! If you want to go in the opposite direction, you must first take a bus heading west and turn east or take a bus at a two-way stop. Therefore, according to the shuttle bus stop, it will save a lot of time to plan a reasonable travel route. Red Line - Official Map Screenshot as above
★★★ You can first walk to the bottom of the valley for about 3km at the transfer point of the red and blue lines (Bright Angel Trail), and then return along the same route. Then start taking the red line shuttle bus to visit the scenery in the red line all the way. I personally recommend the following order of visits:
1. Trailview Overlook (one-way - west);
2. Maricopa Point (one-way - west);
3. Powell Point (two-way - east-west);
4. Hopi Point (one-way - west);
5. The Abyss (one-way - west);
6. Monument Creek Vista (one-way - west);
7. Pima Point (two-way - east-west);
8. Hermits Rest (terminal, one-way - east);
9. Mohave Point (two-way - east-west) - watch the sunset.
★★★According to the official website, the best spots to watch the sunset are in the red line (Hopi Point, Mohave Point, Pima Points). Coincidentally, when I watched the sunset in Grand Canyon National Park-South Rim-Red Line in 2014, I chose to watch the sunset at (Mohave Point) because we thought that (Hopi Point, the best point to watch the sunset at that time) could only go west (the direction of the arrow on the map), but (Mohave and Pima points) both stations can take the shuttle bus in the park in both directions (there are arrows for taking the bus in both directions). After watching the sunset, you have to take the shuttle bus back to the visitor center in the east. So after watching the sunset at these two locations, you can directly take the bus in the direction of leaving the park, which is more convenient. Then leave the park from the east gate-heading to Page (Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell).
