The historic, rock-structured Rocky Virgin Church of Pena is a quaint and timeless landscape in the town of Mijas.
In the 16th century, several monks dug caves and piled stones on the hillside of Mijas to build a rock church dedicated to the town's patron saint, Our Lady of Pena.
From the Pueblo Observation Deck to the east, surrounded by green trees, a statue of Jesus stands on a boulder next to the church.
