1. &quot;Dongxing National Gate&quot; is a land port connecting Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Province and Mong Cai, Vietnam. It was established in 1958 and is an important trading port between China and Vietnam. It was once used as an export channel for aid to Vietnam. It was closed in 1978 due to the Sino-Vietnamese self-defense counterattack and reopened in 1994. Chinese and Vietnamese residents travel between China and Vietnam through the &quot;Sino-Vietnamese Friendship Bridge&quot; across the Beilun River. The center line of the Beilun River is the border between the two countries.

After the iron bridge was scrapped in 1957, it was rebuilt into a stone bridge the following year and named &quot;Beilun River Bridge&quot;. It is 111 meters long. In 1960, when Tao Zhu, then the first secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, inspected the bridge, he changed the name of the bridge to its current name and inscribed the name of the bridge.
