This botanical garden boasts a rich variety of species, offering both educational and entertaining experiences! It's highly worth seeing! Parents with children should definitely not miss it!! This package deal, which includes round-trip city access, entrance fee, and electric cart rides within the garden, is exceptionally good! The biggest surprise is the accompanying guide! She worked diligently and responsibly throughout the day, providing engaging and entertaining commentary. The price is truly excellent value! It's definitely best to book tickets through reputable websites!
This is a worthwhile attraction in Xishuangbanna, highly recommended. After all, it's a 5A-level scenic spot. It's also very convenient to get there by car. Definitely take the sightseeing bus. Enter through the West Gate. Don't ask why! The whole trip took more than three hours.

Wild Elephant Valley was alright. We followed the travel guide on Ctrip, but didn't eat there. However, we did feed the elephants, so the experience was decent. Those who haven't tried it should give it a go. The butterfly exhibit was truly amazing, making it worth the trip. The rest of the area is similar to a zoo. Those who like flowers and plants might have a different experience; personally, I'm not a big fan of flowers and plants.
Although we didn't see any wild elephants, we were still very happy to see the domesticated Asian elephants. The educational performances at the elephant school were especially adorable, and the elephant dining hall allowed for a close-up view, which was a great interactive experience. The availability of tourist buses to Gaozhuang was also very convenient.

Yunnan's hospitality is ingrained in its DNA. It's so beautiful and fun! We happened to catch the Water Splashing Festival, and joining everyone in the fun was incredibly enjoyable! Dai clothing and water splashing equipment are available for sale nearby, and there's also plenty of delicious food to enjoy! The Dai Park is quite large, with many Dai villages integrated into one. Be sure to plan your visit carefully, as you won't be able to visit many areas after closing time!
The dance performances inside were very professional, and there were many peacocks to take pictures of. We found a restaurant to have lunch, the food was pretty good, and it was not far to walk in. The atmosphere of the water splashing activity was very lively, and it was worth a visit.

Friends, when you come to Xishuangbanna, don't just focus on the Starlight Night Market! I just hiked the newly opened rainforest trail in Jinuo Mountain last year. Six hours of hiking, and my phone's photo album was completely full! Wading through the clear stream in rain boots, you could pick up any stone in the water and smear it on your face. There are swings at the beginning and middle, but the ones in the rainforest are even more thrilling. Swinging across the water so close to the surface, your screams were swallowed by the rainforest! No need for filters in the photos! A special shout-out to our local Jinuo guide! A "walking encyclopedia": This flower spider used to make me jump three meters, but now I actually find it kind of cute; he even pulled out his own sour ants and urged us to eat them alive—they were so sour and addictive, and it was hilarious to see those who were too scared to try them grimacing at others! The last part was simply divine! Climbing up the natural stream, grabbing vines and stepping on stones, it was a real-life wilderness survival game, but the guide was there the whole time, making it super reassuring! Having a picnic at a rest stop along the way and listening to the tour leader tell ancient stories of the Jinuo people is a much better experience than just visiting tourist attractions!
Overall, this rain hike was really great. I met a very, very good guide, a big brother from the Jino Mountain tribe, who took care of us throughout the whole process, showed us the way, explained, took us to catch crabs, play projects, and introduced us to their local characteristics. She was very simple and kind, and even gave us a big grapefruit grown in her own home. She was very warm-hearted. In short, she made me feel that the people here are very enthusiastic in all aspects. I will come again next time I have the chance. Highly praised.

Nine times out of ten, people were there with children. It was incredibly crowded during the National Day holiday. Luckily, we arrived early; we were able to park at 10 am. When we came out at 2 pm, the cars were parked several kilometers outside the park. It's basically a large zoo. You absolutely must take the shuttle bus at the entrance, otherwise it's a long walk and there's not much to see along the way. Once you get off the bus, you can get up close and personal with the animals. Each interactive activity costs 20 yuan, but since we were already there, it was worth it. My personal favorite was the owl; it was so small and cute, and it looked so adorable perched on my hand.
Pu'er Sun River Forest Park is truly a natural oxygen bar, with incredibly fresh air! The close interactions with the red pandas were incredibly fun, a truly refreshing and healing experience—definitely worth a return trip!

The 17th was a clear, sunny day with high winds and low clouds—a great spot for sightseeing. A sea of clouds can be seen from the summit. If you're fit, hiking is a good option as it's not too far. If you don't want to walk, you can choose a paid electric cart to the foot of the mountain, then hike up the steps, stopping to enjoy the scenery along the way. Alternatively, you can pay to ride a horse at the foot of the mountain.
The Tengchong Volcanic and Geothermal National Museum within the scenic area showcases the formation and structure of volcanoes. It also houses a science and technology experience center, offering a variety of activities to provide visitors with a more intuitive understanding of volcanic geothermal knowledge. It's a great place for family outings. Dakong Mountain has many steps, so climbing requires considerable stamina. Those with limited stamina can opt for horseback riding or simply explore Xiaokong Mountain.

I went on August 13th and waited in line for the cable car for an hour and a half. It was unbearable 😣... I bought my ticket on Ctrip. Remember, I must go to the cable car ticket window to get my paper ticket before lining up!!! On a sunny day, the cable car offers a stunning view of Erhai Lake in Dali. There's a very high section, so those afraid of heights should keep their eyes closed. The one-way trip takes about 15 minutes.
Cangshan Mountain in Dali is so beautiful! The Gantong Cableway is great value for money. Along the way, you can see the Cangshan pine forest and overlook Erhai Lake. It's spectacular! The squirrels on Cangshan Mountain are so fat and love to eat potato chips 😁

The petrified trees in the Precious Plant Garden are very valuable. We also saw other unusual rocks and rare tree species, making it a great place for parents with children to learn about science. The Shwedagon Pagoda is magnificent and awe-inspiring. We visited at 5 pm, and it was resplendent and solemn under the setting sun. Definitely worth a visit.
I originally planned to see the peacocks, but it rained that day, and the peacocks looked like plucked chickens, not very attractive. However, the stones inside are priceless, and there are many rare and precious treasures, making it worth seeing. It's also very close to the Tree Pagoda.

[August Xizhou Ancient Town: In the rice fields and Bai customs, meet the romance of summer] August Xizhou Ancient Town is a treasure land filled with greenery and fireworks! Less than half an hour's drive from the ancient city of Dali, just got off the bus and was surprised by the endless rice fields at the entrance of the village. The green rice waves undulating with the wind, and some egrets passed by. The blue sky and white clouds lined the white tiles and white walls of the Bai people's houses. No wonder everyone runs here with their cameras. Time in the ancient town is very slow. The stone road is winding and twisting, and there are intact Bai old houses on both sides. The darts and the carved doors and windows are all exquisite. Walking in is like breaking into the time museum. The key point is to praise the Yanjia Courtyard, not only to see the exquisiteness of Bai architecture, but also to understand the history of Xizhou business gangs. The pomegranate trees in the yard are full of fruits, especially the atmosphere of life. In August, just in time for the local fruit peak season! The roadside stalls are full of yellow figs, sweet grapes, and freshly picked blueberries, affordable and fresh. Of course, Xizhou is indispensable. It is recommended to bake sweet mouths (rose filling) and salted mouths (pork end), the outer skin is crispy and the inner is soft, with a cup of milk fan Shaqima, and the carbide is happy to be directly full. I found a small shop by the river and sat down to eat, watched the flowing water, listened to the locals chatting in dialect. It's so pleasant. In the afternoon, you can rent a bicycle to ride along the rice fields, blow the wind through the fields, pass the villagers' vegetable fields and ponds, and feel the most simple pastoral scenery. In the evening, the light on the edge of the rice field became soft, taking pictures with filters, and many newcomers took wedding photos here, which was very romantic. The only thing to note is that it is a bit sun-dried in the afternoon of August, remember to do a good job of sun protection; there are a little more tourists on the main street of the ancient town, but you can find a cleanliness when you turn into the alley, suitable for slowly shaking. Overall, Xizhou does not have the hustle and bustle of Dali Ancient City, but has more idyllic and humanistic heritage. Come here in August, like putting the beauty of the whole summer in your hands, recommend it to friends who want to slow down and feel Dali ~
Well, the entire Dali Erhai Lake circle is about 80 kilometers long, and you will pass through many ancient towns in the middle, such as Xizhou Ancient Town. At the same time, there will be a lot of people renting cars, and you can also see many luxury cars. But you should pay attention to whether you choose to tour clockwise or counterclockwise. Sometimes, there will be more traffic jams in one direction.

Although it is not big, you can observe the animals up close. But I have to complain that the food there is too expensive. For 20 yuan, you only get a few carrots and a few cabbage leaves.
How can there be a zoo with such a good value for money? It is exactly the feeling of going to the zoo when I was a child. The route is also very simple. You just need to follow one path and you can see all kinds of animals. It is worth the ticket price. I have brought my children here twice and it feels great.
