When we went, there were very few people, and the weather was great. It was raining down below, but when we reached the top of the mountain, the sky cleared up, and we saw a fairyland. So, when going to Fanjingshan, don't give up because of bad weather. Maybe a miracle will happen at the last moment. Stay in one place for a while and don't leave immediately, because your time there can change in an instant.
The long-awaited holy land finally arrived today! Absolutely amazing! We even bumped into some Hong Kong aunties and uncles along the way – that was incredible too! You don't know what "perilous" means until you've been here. The weather was great, sunny and bright, and I was in a great mood! Hahahaha, come on, friends!

The scenic area is very huge. You should spend full day here to able to explore the whole area. The Water Curtain Cave is a must to go place. My route is Huangguoshu Grand Waterfall, then Tianxingqiao, and the last one Doupotang Waterfall
The falls are beautiful even in the off-season. You must make a reservation for the Water Curtain Cave in advance, and buy a raincoat in advance as well. They cost 5 yuan each at the entrance (make sure to check the quality so you don't get switched out). If you don't bring a raincoat, your clothes will get wet.

Our tour guide, Xiao Tian, was very helpful and provided excellent explanations. The bus driver drove smoothly and we arrived at our destination on time. The Huangguoshu Waterfall, Water Curtain Cave, Tianxing Bridge, Beauty Banyan Tree, and Silver Chain Waterfall were all incredibly beautiful.
If you're driving, you can enter from the West Gate, take the tour bus to the East Gate, and finally take another bus back to the West Gate. Parking: Parking is available at the West Gate; there are plenty of parking spaces. For people from the plains, the mountains and waterfalls are absolutely breathtaking. My favorite part was the water forest; walking along the stone paths through the forest with the rushing stream beside you was very enjoyable.

All the ancient cities, towns, villages, and fortresses are pretty much the same. A river runs through the village, and it's very lively at night. I think the management of the scenic area is quite mature compared to others.
It's worth seeing. I recommend doing your research beforehand to avoid backtracking. Overall, it's a very good experience. Just be aware that the sightseeing bus stops running after 10:30 am.

Zhijin Cave in Guizhou is a natural karst cave formed over thousands of years. Inside the cave, there are many stalactites and underground rivers on the walls and ceiling, with various shapes and forms that are very spectacular. The whole scene is well worth visiting in person!
The cave is beautiful, and since it's the off-season, it's deserted, allowing for a leisurely visit. A visit takes about 3 hours, with many steps! Whether it's tiring depends on your physical condition; I personally didn't find it too strenuous. It's not cold inside the cave; a base layer and a sweatshirt are usually enough (in November). The only problem is transportation within the scenic area. There are very few direct buses from the high-speed rail station to the scenic area—only one per hour, and they're very slow. We had to take a taxi, which cost 120 yuan and took 40 minutes. By the time we finished our visit, it was almost dark, and there were no taxis available, especially in the middle of nowhere. I hope the scenic area can change the time of the last bus; otherwise, we would miss our high-speed train back to Guiyang. Finally, a kind man took us to the high-speed rail station. What a thrilling trip!

I have visited so many ancient towns all over the country, and Qingyan Ancient Town is one of the most distinctive ones. It has scenery surrounded by mountains and rivers, and its towering ancient city walls are very dangerous. It has the charm of a frontier town.
It feels like all ancient towns are the same now, with no distinctive features. The shopping malls are rarely visited, but what makes it different from other ancient towns is that you can climb the city walls, which feels like the Great Wall. Food is very cheap, with sugarcane juice at the entrance only 7 yuan a cup, and the set meal at "South City Old Things" is 38 yuan, which is more than one person can finish!

The price is reasonable at 20 yuan, and it's good that it helps preserve intangible cultural heritage. However, the activities weren't exciting enough, and it was inconvenient for tourists with strollers or suitcases. Fortunately, there's free luggage storage at the entrance.
After a morning stroll along Huaxi Golden Avenue, head to Huaxi Yelang Valley. This stone kingdom, created by artist Song Peilun over 20 years, blends the mysterious Yelang culture with natural wonders. The scenic area features over 200 stone totem poles incorporating elements of ancient Yelang totems and Nuo opera masks, their unique shapes creating a mysterious Yelang cultural atmosphere. The perfect combination of karst landforms and man-made art results in a pristine yet fantastical landscape, perfect for taking photos. Tickets are inexpensive at 20 yuan per person, and the visit takes approximately 1-2 hours. The road to the scenic area is blocked by vendors, making it easy to get lost; a security guard informed us that parking costs 10 yuan per vehicle. However, parking at the entrance is only 2 yuan per hour.

Thumbs up for Wanfenglin Scenic Area in Xingyi, Guizhou! 👍 The service at the scenic spot was excellent, with an abundance of clean restrooms, and the local drivers were very nice. 🥰 The scenic area is a 20-minute drive from the city center. The entire trip takes 2.5-3 hours. You board an electric cart from the visitor center, and the driver provides commentary along the way and stops for photos. There's plenty of time, the driver is friendly and doesn't rush you, and they even help you take good photos. There are restrooms at every stop, and water is available for free at the service areas. Nearby, Huangxiu is the most popular fried rice spot; 15 yuan is enough for two people and it's not too spicy, perfect for people from Guangdong who can handle the heat.
We were very happy that we took a pet-friendly sightseeing bus. The dogs were given snacks, water, and exquisite water bowls. The pet bus was very warm, clean, and tidy. The beautiful driver not only drove us, but also explained the history of Qianhu Miao Village to us.

Fenghuang Ancient Town is a famous scenic area that integrates history and culture, natural scenery, folk customs, and local delicacies. There is always a specific view here that will make your visit unforgettable.
The following is a travel blogger-style introduction to the highlights and recommended reasons for visiting Fenghuang Ancient Town in Hunan. I hope it will help you attract more followers and likes. [Fenghuang Ancient Town, Hunan: A Timeless Treasure, a Dreamland Worth Every Traveler's Stop] When many people think of Hunan, they might first think of the grotesque peaks and rocks of Zhangjiajie or the ancient charm of Yueyang Tower. Fenghuang Ancient Town, however, offers a beautiful journey through time, allowing you to experience rich ethnic customs and historical heritage amidst its quaint streets and alleys. This ancient town in western Hunan attracts countless visitors with its unique charm. Today, let me take you deeper into the highlights of Fenghuang Ancient Town in Hunan and explain why it's worth every traveler's careful experience. 1. The Ancient Town's Historical Charm and Architectural Style Founded during the Ming and Qing dynasties, Fenghuang Ancient Town's well-preserved ancient buildings showcase the traditional architectural style of western Hunan. With its whitewashed tiles and white walls, carved wooden doors and windows, and stilt-style dwellings, it feels like a living historical scroll. Strolling through the old streets and alleys along the Tuojiang River, you can feel the tranquility and solemnity etched by time. Every stone slab and every ancient bridge here tells a story steeped in history, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts. 2. Tuojiang River Scenery: The Tranquility and Romance of a Water Village The Tuojiang River flows through the city, its surface as calm as a mirror. The quaint stilt houses on both sides are reflected in the water, creating a stunning ink painting. A leisurely cruise on a wupeng boat is like stepping back into ancient times, experiencing the tranquility and romance. At night, the river is dotted with lights, reflecting the glittering starry sky, evoking a sense of longing. 3. A Rich Experience of Ethnic Culture Fenghuang is home to ethnic minorities such as the Miao and Tujia, and boasts a rich ethnic heritage. The streets and alleys are filled with colorful ethnic costumes, traditional handicrafts, and lively song and dance performances. The annual Miao festival and Tujia hand-waving dance are filled with excitement and joy, immersing visitors in a rich ethnic cultural atmosphere. 4. Former Residences of Historical Figures: Shen Congwen's Hometown Feelings Shen Congwen was a renowned Chinese writer, and his hometown, Fenghuang Ancient Town, has become a cultural pilgrimage site. Shen Congwen's well-preserved residence displays his manuscripts, letters, and daily necessities, taking you into the world of this literary giant. Following his footsteps, you'll gain a deeper understanding of Fenghuang's cultural heritage. 5. Unique Nightscapes and Special Cuisine Fenghuang Ancient Town at night offers a unique charm. Brightly lit streets, quaint bars, and unique food stalls create an atmosphere that blends the past and the present. We recommend tasting authentic Miao delicacies like sour soup fish, cured meat, blood-baked duck, and handmade rice noodles to delight your taste buds and experience the warmth of Xiangxi. 6. Stunning Natural Scenery and Surrounding Attractions Beyond the ancient town itself, the natural landscape surrounding Fenghuang is also worth exploring. Nanhua Mountain, Furong River, and Wulong Mountain National Forest Park are all great places to relax and connect with nature. Hiking, rafting, and waterfall viewing offer a tranquil escape from the bustling city. Why visit Fenghuang Ancient Town? Fenghuang Ancient Town is not only an ancient city, but also a cultural experience that transcends time and space.

When you come to Guizhou, you must experience China's strength up close. Take a 30-minute shuttle bus to the core area of FAST (Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope), where the super telescope is right before your eyes. It's the world's first, a testament to our powerful motherland! The FAST scenic area also has many science education and experience halls, including the Nan Rendong Memorial Hall, where you can pay tribute to the father of China's FAST telescope!
It's worth visiting; these are the nation's most important instruments, the best in the world. The Chinese people have the capability and ambition. With the passage of time, all the problems that imperialism has created for us will be solved. I am proud of our great motherland! A salute to the scientists who have contributed to the country; the people of our motherland will never forget you!
