Exit B1 of Shanxian Subway Station and walk for about 15 minutes. If you use Amap, it is recommended to refer to its direction. Don't follow its navigation and walk along the highway. It's about 100 meters from the subway exit. Cross the bridge and turn right and walk along the river. A fitness hiking greenway leads all the way to the Shangtang Ancient Canal Scenic Area. There are lights all along the shore. Take a boat to watch the "Dream Shangtang Performance", which is performed at several points along this canal.
Before going, I read the Ctrip reviews. The ratings were high and everyone said they were very satisfied, but it felt average to me. Maybe I watched too many types of performances of all sizes. First, the scene is not big enough, and second, there are few actors. Several scene plays are all about reciting poems and dancing with music. It only takes a few minutes and is not very enjoyable. Basic Overview
• Origin of the name: It was called "Zhejiang" in ancient times, also known as "Zhijiang" and "Raksha River". The name "Qiantang River" appeared later. It may have been an abbreviation of "Qiantang Zhejiang" or "Qiantang Zhijiang". It was named because the river flows through Qiantang County. In the first year of Wude of Emperor Gaozu of Tang Dynasty, Qiantang County was changed to Qiantang County, and Qiantang River has been called Qiantang River since then.
• Geographical location: Starting from Huangshan Mountain Range in the west, adjacent to Lingjiang River Basin in the east, Xianxia Mountain Range in the south, and Tiaoxi River System in the north. The longitude and latitude range is 117°37' to 121°52' east longitude and 28°10' to 30°48' north latitude.
• River length and basin area: The river is 668 kilometers long and has a basin area of 55,558 square kilometers, spanning five provinces and cities including Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian and Shanghai.
