Mountain color
The mountain color is dark blue. From a distance, it looks like a huge black jade, lying quietly between heaven and earth. When the morning mist lingers, the black jade becomes hazy, like a fairyland; when the sun climbs up the east mountain and the mist dissipates, the mountain shows its true appearance, with jagged rocks and dense trees, which is actually a great scenery.
I often stand under the old locust tree at the entrance of the village and look at the mountain. The trunk is cracked like the back of an old man's hand, but the branches and leaves are still dense, casting mottled shadows. There are often old people sitting under the tree, smoking, playing chess, or just staring into the distance. They look at the mountain differently from me - for them, the mountain is a companion besides firewood, rice, oil and salt, and a witness to the passage of time.
