The service of the staff in Shapotou is particularly good. It feels very comfortable. There are people smiling and greeting you wherever you go. They will take the initiative to explain the route. It is really great. There are many activities to play, such as speedboats and sheepskin rafts. Camel riding and surfing cars are recommended in the desert. The camel can be ridden for more than 20 minutes. The surfing car is too exciting. Recommended
The Shapotou Scenic Area experience exceeded our expectations! The desert and Yellow River landscapes are magnificent and unique. Our tour guide, Xiao Zhou, was warm and attentive, providing lively explanations and even demonstrating his clapperboard skills, making the trip a joyful experience. The scenic area is well-equipped, with exciting activities like sandboarding, sheepskin rafting, and desert surfing cars. The itinerary was well-planned and the whole family had a blast!

The night before I went to Ink Danxia, it rained heavily, so the dust in the air and on the mountain was washed away. The colors looked amazing. Magnificent!
It’s such a wonderful trip. Easy communication. This place is so beautiful and is a must visit when you’re in Lanzhou.

Zhagana is a must-see destination in this world. The scenery is breathtaking, with towering mountains surrounding the ancient Tibetan village, adding a touch of mystery to the stunning scenery. I originally planned to stay one night, but decided to stay an extra night on the spur of the moment. It was definitely worth it!
Magical mountain! The altitude is a bit high, more than 3900 meters, the scenery is beautiful, it is well worth going. No matter which homestay you stay in, you can dance Tibetan dance together in the evening. Remember not to get tired or you will run out of oxygen.

My boyfriend and I had a truly culturally enriching date at Jiuzhaigou Qianguqing! We hung prayer plaques and learned Tibetan dance together. His clumsy movements made the whole audience laugh. This shared cultural experience was even more memorable than just a simple meal or movie. Afterward, he said, "I didn't realize cultural performances could be this fun! I'll bring my parents back next time!"
As a photography enthusiast, the dark scene design of Jiuzhaigou Eternal Love is so friendly! The lighting technicians know how to use soft light when shooting close-ups of actors to avoid overexposure. The photos taken are so popular that they can be shared on social media without any retouching. In particular, the silver jewelry worn by the actors reflects light in the dark, and every shot is a highlight. It is a dream location for photographers.

After a decade, returning to the Gansu Provincial Museum's exhibition halls, the familiar weight of history was tinged with a refreshing surprise. The excitement of reunion intensified as I witnessed the transformation of the exhibition layout and exhibits. The Gansu Provincial Museum's exhibition layout is most clearly "scientific," far more than a simple display of artifacts. Focusing on "Yellow River Culture," it weaves together prehistoric civilization, Silk Road trade, and the intermingling of multiple ethnic groups into a clear thread. From the juxtaposition of painted pottery and agricultural tools from the Dadiwan site, you can directly witness the transition from slash-and-burn agriculture to pottery cooking. In the Silk Road exhibition hall, Hu merchant figurines unearthed from the Hexi Corridor, Persian silver coins, and Central Plains silk are brought together in a single narrative space, instantly capturing the vibrant commercial scene of "camel bells ringing across Europe and Asia." Even more thoughtfully, each exhibition area is accompanied by lightweight text explanations and multimedia videos, avoiding academic obscurity while also preventing history from being reduced to "picture-based object identification." Even children can follow the clues and understand the stories behind the artifacts. If the exhibition layout is the "skeleton," the exhibits are the living, breathing "flesh and blood" of Gansu's museum. Its richness lies in its collection of unique national treasures. Besides the well-known "Horse Stepping on Flying Swallow" (a bronze galloping horse), there's also China's largest "Bronze Chariot and Horse Guard of Honor," featuring 38 bronze horses, one axe cart, and four chariots neatly arranged, as if ready to carry Han Dynasty soldiers on the Silk Road. The "Human Face and Newt Painted Pottery Vase" from the Yangshao culture, with its eerie yet vibrant human face and newt motifs, is a rare relic of the spiritual world of prehistoric ancestors. Furthermore, manuscripts and Tangut Buddhist scriptures unearthed from the Dunhuang Caves quietly speak of Gansu's unique status as a treasure trove of literature. These exhibits are more than just artifacts; they are a condensed, tangible, and comprehensive history of Gansu. Compared to many museums, Gansu's uniqueness lies in its irreplaceable "regional DNA." Rather than pursuing comprehensiveness, the museum culminates in the quintessential characteristics of the "Upper Yellow River Civilization" and the "Golden Section of the Silk Road." While other museums may exhibit painted pottery, few offer the complete sequence of painted pottery from the Dadiwan, Majiayao, and Qijia cultures, allowing you to clearly see how painted pottery evolved from simplicity to sophistication. While other museums can tell the story of the Silk Road, the museum's exhibits primarily draw from local sites. From the bronze galloping horse from the Leitai Han Tomb to the statues from Bingling Temple, each piece exudes the essence of Gansu's soil, creating a sense of distance. Even more remarkable is its lack of deliberate attempts to create a sense of distance. For example, the "Bronze Galloping Horse" exhibit features multi-angle viewing platforms, allowing you to clearly see the exquisite balance of the horse's feet on the flying swallow. These details, which make national treasures approachable, are precisely what makes the museum so captivating. Ten years later, the Gansu Provincial Museum has not been confined to the "memories of the old museum," but has brought history to life with more scientific exhibition arrangements, more vibrant exhibits, and a more unique regional expression. Revisiting this place is not only a reunion with the past, but also a dialogue with a Gansu that is both "familiar and fresh," spanning millennia.
It's worth a visit, but it was so crowded I couldn't even see the bronze galloping horse. It was packed inside and outside. It's best not to go during the summer. 😂 Also, there's a shop near the entrance with Green Code and his friends, which is quite interesting and a great place to take photos. Famen Temple, an ancient temple, attracts countless visitors with its profound historical heritage and unique cultural charm. Within the temple, towering ancient trees and stately and elegant architecture reveal the traces of time and the mystique of religion. Devout believers and travelers seeking spiritual tranquility can find inner peace and tranquility here. Famen Temple is not only a religious sanctuary, but also a treasured place for spiritual purification.
My photos are all of the treasures unearthed from the underground palace of Famen Temple, taken in the first and third exhibition halls. Some of the treasures have been shipped off, but they're still enough to dazzle your eyes. I also heard a local tell a story about a pagoda that was photoshopped halfway down in 1981. It was because a pomegranate tree on top was struck by lightning, and the tree's roots propped the pagoda apart. Then, a month of rain followed, and the pagoda was washed away by the water. It looks like what you see in Figure 9. When the government decided to rebuild it, they discovered the underground palace.

It doesn't look very high from the outside, but it actually has 16 floors, and many floors have exhibitions, which are quite nice to take a look. Some floors have 360-degree outdoor corridors, and you can see Lanzhou City and the Yellow River in four directions.
It was my first time in Lanzhou, and I found this "Yellow River Building" on the Internet. It looked very tall and there were many tourists. The view from upstairs was wide, and you could drink tea and look at the mother river, which was very exciting.

I was lucky enough to have a sunny day. The grass was still green at the end of August. The blue sky and white clouds were reflected in the wetland water. It was beautiful. The snow-capped mountains in the distance were a backdrop.
When traveling with your dog to Norgay, you must check in at Huahu Lake. I came here by myself 11 years ago, and 11 years later I brought my dog back to see the scenery. The scenic area is pet-friendly, and puppies can also take the sightseeing bus. There are no steps along the plank road throughout the tour. There are also many service points in the scenic area, and you can replenish water in time when the weather is hot. The staff of the scenic area are also very nice.

It rained on the day we went there. The cable car going up the mountain was shrouded in fog. I thought it might be better at the top of the mountain, but the fog didn't dissipate. I asked the staff, and they said the weather at the top of the mountain changes from time to time. But with such heavy rain, the fog won't dissipate easily. Due to the weather, there were very few people on the top of the mountain. Although the fog made it impossible to see the scenery in the distance, the smell of green grass from the surrounding alpine meadows and the silence with only the sound of dripping rain still made us feel very comfortable. I hope to wait for a good day, a good opportunity, and a good day to see you again.
The Guanegou Scenic Area is divided into Emangou and Guanzhugou. It is a 5A scenic area that can be visited in two days. The navigation is not very clear. It is known as the Little Jiuzhaigou of Gansu. It is a place where you can see mountains, water and waterfalls. The climate is pleasant and the scenery is beautiful. It makes people linger. There are rich green plant species. It is a perfect combination of tranquility and beauty, which has attracted countless tourists to come and feel the magic and beauty of nature, making people feel as if they are in a moving natural painting.

Just finished my hike and have some advice for you. Overall, the scenic spots near Pingliang Tianshui are well-managed, changing my previous stereotypes about the Northwest. The shuttle bus system is well-organized, making the route seamless. It's normal for a scenic area to have some commercial areas interspersed throughout. Maiji Mountain is truly spectacular, and the fact that cultural relics over a thousand years old have survived to this day is truly remarkable. Geological disasters have destroyed some of them, but that's unavoidable. But because it's so high up, it's probably been spared from war and catastrophe. Don't believe those books that suggest you drive directly into the scenic area to save money. It's very strictly controlled now. I personally saw four or five people blocking the area where the bus transfers to an electric car, forcing people to buy electric car tickets. I think that's pointless. It's better to park in the parking lot outside (unless you're obsessed with the winding mountain road). It's now underground, similar to airport parking, which is convenient and safe. I went on a weekday and waited in line for nearly two hours to see the first cave. Honestly, the queue at the front is too wide. Our people's quality isn't up to this kind of thing, and the lines are severely disrupted. If you have weak legs or are afraid of heights, don't come here. It's quite steep, especially when I came down, my knees were broken. Also, there is no lighting in the cave and it is surrounded by iron nets, so many things are difficult to see clearly.
I would like to give a thumbs up to our tour guide, Miss Xiao Qu. She gave us a detailed explanation, provided warm and thoughtful service, and kindly reminded us to travel during off-peak hours. She also helped us take photos and reminded us of the last operating hours of the sightseeing bus before the scenic area closed. This greatly enhanced our experience of visiting the Maijishan Grottoes. I sincerely thank her and wish her safety and success in the future.
