The Dead Sea, located at the border of Israel, Palestine, and Jordan, is the lowest lake in the world, with an altitude of -430.5 meters. It is also one of the lakes with the highest salt content in the world.

The Dead Sea contains a high concentration of salt, which is 8-9 times that of ordinary seawater. As a result, no living things can survive in the water. The Secret of the Dead Sea
Many people put &quot;swimming in the Dead Sea&quot; on their travel dream list. I always thought so, until... I accidentally discovered a secret.
I got off the car of a kind person and was about to walk forward to the so-called free beach, when I suddenly saw a small gully and a path leading directly to the Dead Sea. With curiosity, I walked down the hillside and came to the beach (actually the &quot;lake&quot;), and found that the lake water looked clear. I dipped my hand and tasted it, and it was so salty that my mouth was burning.
I walked a few steps forward and saw:
a. The beach was full of garbage;
b. Sewage was continuously discharged into the Dead Sea from the sewage pipe hidden under the gully.
So, I decisively deleted &quot;swimming in the Dead Sea&quot; from the travel list in my mind.
