We took the high-speed rail from Guiyang to the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. There were not many people there, and the park was beautiful and clean. Wolongtan was like an emerald, with many large and small waterfalls. The water was very clear, which attracted many tourists to stop and take pictures. It was just too tiring, and we couldn't see or walk all the way there. In short, it is a place worth visiting.

🌊Rafting Experience:
I chose the popular route from Jinlong Bridge to Jiuxian County, which covers approximately 6 kilometers and lasted nearly 90 minutes. Along the way, the raft slowly glided through the crystal-clear water, revealing tiny fish and shrimp frolicking beneath. Every time we passed a dam, the raft whizzed down, splashing huge waves. It was both thrilling and exciting. This collision of speed and excitement had me screaming!
🌄Scenery Along the Way:
The scenery along the way is picturesque, with karst peaks of varying shapes. Some resemble camels crossing a river, some like fairies descending to earth, and still others like five fingers reaching up to the sky. It's truly a marvel of nature's wonders. The riverside scenery is also captivating, with vast expanses of lush green rice paddies and the occasional wisp of smoke rising from farmhouses, creating a tranquil and peaceful rural scene.

The raft driver was incredibly friendly. He not only expertly maneuvered the raft, but also explained the various scenic spots along the way and cracked jokes, making the entire rafting experience full of laughter and joy. Furthermore, the driver's photography skills were exceptional, proactively helping us find the perfect angles. Every photo we took could be a wallpaper!

This trip to Fanjing Mountain was absolutely perfect.
I booked a timetable five days in advance on the official WeChat account. During those five days, I checked the weather forecast daily, and every day it predicted rain. I worried every day, afraid it would be a wasted trip and I wouldn't see anything.
It was still drizzling when I took the scenic shuttle bus, but it cleared up when I reached the summit.
The moment I saw the clouds and fog part, I was absolutely astonished. It was so stunning! I don't know how to describe my feelings at that moment.
I've traveled over 3,000 kilometers just for you.
If you're not very physically fit, definitely choose to enter and exit from the east, as there's a cable car both ways. From the high-speed rail station to Tongren, you'll need to take a direct bus or taxi to the scenic area, which takes about an hour. After entering through the east gate, you'll first take a 20-minute sightseeing bus to the cable car entrance, followed by another 15-minute cable car ride to begin the actual climb. Reservations are required for the Red Cloud Golden Summit, otherwise you won't be able to enter.

Enter through Gate 3, buy tickets for free on Ctrip or scan the QR code. Apart from taking a few photos on Love Island, there is nothing special about the 90 yuan cruise and a 60-70 minute Li River cruise.

Before my trip, I researched various travel guides online and saw the photos of the Tongren Grand Canyon were so stunning that I decided it was a must-see.
Once I saw it in person, it was far more beautiful than the photos. My phone simply couldn't capture the beauty of the Tongren Grand Canyon. You have to be there in person to experience it.

Ticket is expensive for a one day visit. Once purchased online here, when you arrive at the entrance gates = theres a few, you need to show your passport and qr code to redeem for a paper ticket. Keep the paper ticket safe and with you at all times. You can enter / exit the scenic area as many times as you like within 3 day period. Staff will scan your paper ticket at various checkpoints - to enter the scenic area and even inside to get access to some sections. There is a different show time schedule for week days and week nights. Its on a board inside at the main square or ask your accomodation for it. The 9pm 40min show in the theatre is the best one, all the others are about 10min long and of traditional singing or fusion style dancing performances. I was in the scenic area from 1pm to 5pm then returned around 7pm to 10pm. Theres not a lot to buy - souvenir wise, mostly Chinese local cuisine food and drinks. There is a KFC and Luckin Coffee at the main entrance. Furong is beautiful!
I bought this ticket on trip, right at the tourist centre, cos it’s cheaper than the 108rmb for adults. For overseas seniors (65 and above) you can get the ticket for 10rmb on the spot. You’ll have to show the QR code to the tourist centre counter and they will scan your face and give you a ticket which you’ll use to enter the scenic area and the waterfall viewing area. The sight is amazing and it’s not crowded in the morning. I only spent half day there, if you have time, can check out the lights at night, our didi driver shared that it’s more eventful at night, but still managed to watch a 1030 performance in the scenic area.
