Xingkai Lake is located in Mishan City, Jixi, on the Sino-Russian border 40 kilometers southeast of Mishan City. It is the largest freshwater lake in Northeast China. It is an inland lake formed by the collapse of the terrain after the ancient volcanic eruption. "Xingkai" is Manchu, which means that water flows from high places to low places. Now one-third of the waters are in my country, and the rest are in Russia. The whole lake is slightly oval, with a total of nine rivers flowing into it. The lake overflows from the northeast and finally flows into the Ussuri River.
There is a small Xingkai Lake to the north of Xingkai Lake. The entire lake is in China. There is a sand dam about 1 km wide between the big and small Xingkai Lakes, which are connected when the water rises.
In addition to the big and small Xingkai Lakes, the Xingkai Lake Scenic Area also includes wetland parks, Dangbi Town, Lotus, Xinkai Stream, flood discharge gates, Dragon King Temple, Honey Mountain, Golden Beach and other scenic spots.
Dangbi Town is located at the westernmost end of Lake Khanka. It is home to the world's smallest boundary bridge, the "Baileng River Bridge". Visitors can play in the water or sunbathe on the lakeside beach. On the northeast side of Dangbi Town, there is a Baipaozi Township that also faces Lake Khanka. The lakeside scenery here is more authentic.
