The cruise ship was scheduled to dock at Deutsches Eck at 17:30, and we planned to take the cable car to the castle. We didn&#39;t expect to arrive at this place in the middle of the night to restock. When you are done with that, go to the small monument on the parade ground - from there you will have an amazing view over the city and the Rhine Valley. There are a few restaurants in the fortress, but I would still recommend taking the cable car back to the city and going to one of the many picturesque and good places to eat there. The fortress is definitely a must-see when you visit Koblenz, the only negative thing is that you need to take some time to do a proper tour.
