The 4-kilometer-long gentle beach on the coast, the waves and the shells, driftwood, and small creatures on the beach are all works of art in themselves. It is a natural beach art gallery and a surfing paradise. During the Golden Week every year, a T-shirt art exhibition is held, with thousands of designs floating on the beach, which is spectacular.

Katsurahama Beach is located in Kochi City, on the side of Shikoku facing the Pacific Ocean. Like the overall situation of Shikoku, although it is mountainous and hilly, there are not many landscapes. As a small pointed beach in the bay, it is a rare tourist attraction. Katsurahama also has the statue of Ryoma, Sakamoto Ryoma, and the Daimyo.
