I wanted to come two years ago, but some spots were closed because the scenic area was preparing to upgrade to 5A. Now that it's finished, I took advantage of the good weather to come and visit, and I was not disappointed!
Guanzhai Mountain & Shimen Lake Guanzhai Mountain is famous for its typical Danxia landform. Its main peak resembles the "Xiezhi crown" worn by ancient imperial censors, hence the name "Guanzhai." The scenic area includes Guanzhai Mountain, Shimen Lake, Zhuanzhai Village, and Jiulong Lake, and is renowned as "Northern Yi and Southern Guanzhai, two wonders of Danxia." 📍Upon entering the park, first take a boat🚢 to tour Shimen Lake, then take a three-story escalator up the mountain, descend to the West Gate, and take a shuttle bus back to the visitor center parking lot🅿️. Liancheng, Fujian, is one of the important settlements and origins of the Hakka people, and the Guanzhai Mountain area is dotted with numerous landscapes related to Hakka culture. The scenic area has an aerial performance (flying cars, flying acrobatics) every half hour. Today there were very few people, and the staff thought there wouldn't be a performance because there were no people. When we asked, they actually put on a show just for the two of us!👍 Thank you!😍 The scenery at the top of the mountain is beautiful, but the descent is also expensive. Even at a leisurely pace, it took us 4 hours to explore.
