I arrived at the long-desired Zhaoxing Dong Village, and its scenery and customs are unforgettable.
Upon entering the village, I was captivated by the breathtaking scenery. Green mountains surround the village, and a gurgling stream flows by the village, its water crystal clear. Ancient stone paths meander, flanked by distinctive Dong stilt houses, their wooden structures imbued with a rustic elegance, weathered by time.
The village's Drum Tower is its most striking landmark. Its towering tower, with its soaring eaves and brackets, exudes a majestic presence. We ascended the tower and, from its perch, gazed down upon the entire village. The scattered, green-tiled wooden houses, with curling smoke rising from their chimneys, resembled a vivid landscape painting.
The nights in the Dong village are truly unique. Bonfire parties are held in the central square of the village. A blazing bonfire illuminates the night sky, and the Dong people, dressed in their finest attire, sing and dance. They warmly invited us to join them, and together we formed a circle, holding hands, and engaged in a joyful dance. The melodious Dong songs echoed in the night air, enchanting us.
This trip to the Zhaoxing Dong Village allowed me to appreciate the unique charm of Dong culture and experience the warm hospitality of my fellow ethnic minorities. Everything here is deeply etched in my memory.
