Belle Isle Park, also known as the Treasure of Detroit, is located on a small island in the Detroit River. It covers an area of about 982 acres and is a lushly wooded and beautifully landscaped island park.
Not only is there a large background area for photos, but the view of the James River is the best. The walk there is fun and a great way to get out of the city. Stop and read the signs and you will learn a lot of the history of the park.
