It was incredibly fun because the mountain path was incredibly shaky and broken. The bricks on the way down were incredibly steep. At one point, they were only half the width of my shoes, so I had to walk sideways, like a crab. There was a section of broken, cracked, and uneven road that hurt my feet. Also, there was a section of the path next to a cliff, which was so scary that my legs gave out.
We took the cable car up, and the scenery was beautiful. We came down with trekking poles. My legs had been hurting for a week, and if it weren't for the kind old man who gave me the poles, it would have taken even longer. Thank you so much! 🙏
The pitfall: There's also a boat ride for 5 yuan. You know how short it is? I got on the boat and checked my phone. When we arrived, there were no seats. We were leaning against a broken wall, and there was a huge pit. I recommend walking.
During peak season, be prepared to wait in line for the cable car. We waited for half an hour up the mountain. There was a large fan outside, and the whole tent was set up to cool off.
Some shameless people stood in front of the fan, enjoying themselves. The tent was like a sauna. I suggest you be a little more polite, please.
To summarize, we arrived at 10:00 AM, climbed the mountain at 12:00 PM, took the cable car, and it took four hours to get down, arriving at 4:30 PM.
From Qingcheng Mountain Train Station, we bought a round-trip ticket that took us all the way to the mountain gate, but the return trip ended at 5:00 PM. We almost missed our flight. This is ridiculous.
On rainy days, the roads are very slippery, so be extra careful. I mean that. Pay attention to your personal safety on rainy days. Stay a few days until the rain stops. The scenery is beautiful and it's not dangerous yet, so check the weather forecast before you go.
This is the front of Qingcheng Mountain. I recommend driving to the back.
Finally... if you're also afraid of heights, don't try to be brave. Forget about hiking up and down. I really recommend hiring a car for the entire trip. It's cheap, and the view is great just for the view.
I'll never climb again, anyway.
