This is my second visit. Besides being a great spot for photos and check-ins, it also offers a unique view of nature. It can be quite chilly, so remember to wear a windbreaker. Definitely worth a visit!

Yehliu Geopark is one of the most famous geological landscapes in Taiwan, famous for its unique coastal landforms and peculiar rock shapes. The park was formed millions of years ago. After long-term erosion and carving by sea water, wind and crustal movement, it has produced a variety of rocks with different shapes, which is amazing. Walking on the trails in the park, you will be amazed at why nature can be so amazing.

In addition to the peculiar landforms and ecological beauty, the geographical location of Yehliu Geopark also gives it a unique perspective. Standing on the platform along the coast of the park, you can overlook the vast Pacific Ocean, feel the breeze, and listen to the sound of waves hitting the shore.

The rocks carved by nature are extremely artistic. The erosion of the ocean and the weathering over millions of years have brought us all kinds of strange works at this moment, and we can imagine all kinds of stories and things through our imagination.

Shifen Old Street is located in Pingxi District, New Taipei City. It stretches along the railway, with shops selling sky lanterns and snacks on both sides. Come here on a rainy day, the stone road is shining with rain, and the air is filled with the smell of damp grass and trees, which makes it feel hazy and poetic. When releasing sky lanterns, the store will let you write your wishes indoors first, even if it rains. After the train passes, everyone walks to the railway tracks with umbrellas. The sky lanterns are lit in the rain, and the flames reflect the warm yellow of the paper lanterns. The rain slides down the lampshade, like a layer of transparent gauze. Watching the sky lanterns slowly rise, flickering in the rain and fog and drifting towards the mountainside, it feels like the wishes have become gentle.

This street was so beautiful with many shops. We bought milk tea and just walked around. Although there was a lot of people, we still enjoyed it very much.

The most special thing about Shifen Old Street is the design of the interweaving of railroad tracks and streets. The train slowly passes through the street, and together with the shops and bustling crowds on both sides, it forms a very nostalgic picture.

The sky lantern culture on the old street is one of the souls here. The shops on both sides sell sky lanterns of various colors and patterns. Each color symbolizes a different meaning. Visitors can choose their favorite sky lanterns, write their wishes and then release them.

In addition to the sky lantern experience, Shifen Old Street is also a good place to taste Taiwanese snacks, from crispy peanut ice cream to soft and glutinous mochi, to rich meat dumplings and red bean cakes, every kind of food is worth experiencing.

Whether you are strolling along the railway, feeling the charm of the old times, or releasing a sky lantern carrying wishes, or enjoying authentic food and specialties, every corner of Shifen Old Street is full of nostalgia, warmth and surprises.

Shifen in Pingxi District, New Taipei City, is the earliest and largest settlement to be developed. A railway branch line &quot;Pingxi Line&quot; built for coal mining winds along the Keelung River Valley and was baptized in the rapid decline of mining.
