The scenery of Weizhou Island is very beautiful, especially the Crocodile Mountain Scenic Area is worth a visit. The downside is that transportation on the island is inconvenient. Buses and Didi are not convenient, so you can only charter a car, which costs 150 yuan a day. Together with the round-trip boat ticket to the island, it costs 1,000 yuan per person a day, which is very hurtful to your wallet. Eating on the island is very expensive, and I didn’t see any good homestays. Personally, I don’t recommend staying on the island.

Don't ever check the weather forecast when you go to Guangxi. I thought it was going to rain tomorrow, and ended up wasting my half-price admission for Hunan residents. The waterfall is beautiful, and the area isn't too big, so it wasn't tiring.
The "most beautiful waterfall in China" doesn't live up to its reputation; it's just average. It's quite far, with Vietnam just across the river. You can see bamboo rafts from both China and Vietnam drifting down the waterfall river. It's not worth visiting alone, as there's only one waterfall to explore. But it's perfectly acceptable to drive here, as the scenery along the way is truly breathtaking, with endless rolling hills and fields.

The 800-plus steps made my legs weak. Although there wasn't much going up, it was still tough going down! The river was clear and the waterfall was stunning. Although I came from Detian, I still thought it was good. The ticket plus the return trip was 100 yuan per person, which was a bit expensive.

I highly recommend Minsheng B&B. The owner is incredibly kind. The elderly man even gave me some longan. The room was clean and spacious, and it was relaxing to sit in the rocking chair by the window and enjoy the mountain view. The rafting entrance requires a 30-minute walk, which involves descending stairs. The rafting is relatively smooth, with a few small spots that give it a slight rafting feel, but the majority of the experience is paddling. We chose the free rafting option. Some of our group rowed their boats and got completely soaked, while others only got their feet slightly wet. Therefore, it's recommended to bring a change of clothes. After the rafting session, you'll need to walk up the stairs to the shuttle bus stop, which will take you to the parking lot. (Currently, the rafting session is over and the attractions are closed. Upon inquiry, we were told that the plank road is under maintenance, so you can only walk up the stairs back to the shuttle bus stop. If the repairs are complete, you can visit the attractions and then return directly to the shuttle bus stop.) You can leave your change of clothes in the car and change at the parking lot after the rafting session. There are cold showers in the changing rooms (the trip from the car park to the exit takes a total of 4 hours).
Rafting at the Gulongshan Grand Canyon was absolutely amazing and highly recommended. I missed the trip to Tongling Grand Canyon because the Detian Waterfall didn't release its water, which was a bit disappointing. I hope to make up for it next time. A partial refund for any unused portion of the package would have been even better.
