Karakul Lake means "Black Lake" in Uyghur. It gets its name from the fact that its waters, located on the Pamir Plateau, appear dark and inky when bathed in sunlight.
Karakul Lake is surrounded by Muztagh Ata, Kongur Peak, and Kongur Jiubie Peak. The towering mountain ridges and blue skies and white clouds are reflected in the clear waters, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scenery that makes for exceptional photographs.

We arrived at Zepujin Populus euphratica National Forest Park at 10:30 am. Although we arrived a little late (the staff said that the best view is at the end of October), it is still very beautiful. Any photo can be used as wallpaper. After entering the park, we took the scenic shuttle bus. There are five stops. The natural scenery at the first stop is the most beautiful, which is similar to the imagined poplar forest. The following stops also have their own characteristics. We stayed in the park for nearly three hours.
If you are not in a hurry, you can walk through the entire scenic area in about 2-3 hours and 10 km. If you don't want to walk, just take the sightseeing bus, which is also cost-effective. It is a scenic spot that I will recommend to my friends in the future. It takes an hour and a half to drive from Shache.

It happened to be the Populus euphratica Festival in the Red Sea Scenic Area. The 17-kilometer self-driving ticket outside was waived, and we only needed to buy the train ticket to the core scenic area, which felt very cost-effective. We arrived early and took the first train at 9:30. After entering, we enjoyed the freedom to take photos.
The scenic spot is very close to the train station. You can just take a taxi. It happened to be the season of the Populus euphratica forest, so it was very photogenic, not many people, and the experience was very strong. It was just that it was difficult to get a taxi back, so it was best to leave the driver's phone number for easy return.
