Because I was traveling with my mother who had a bad knee, I chose to take the cable car up and down. The north line is an aerial cable car; the south line is a ground cable car, a bit like the small train in the Xihai Grand Canyon of Huangshan. We arrived in the afternoon, and there were few people. We didn't have to queue up for the cable car and got on the car directly.
After getting off the cable car, there was a stone with the words "If you don't go to the Great Wall, you are not a hero." This is the only hero stone, so I took the time to take pictures.
The cable car came out and reached the fourth floor of the South, which is the highest point of the South Line. The mountain is quite cool. There are mountains in the distance, and you can still see the dense crowds of people on the North Line. But there are too few people at our Great Wall.
