Located in the northeast of Yunnan, Huize Ancient City is a national historical and cultural city. It was built in the ninth year of Emperor Yongzheng's reign in the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 300 years. It is famous for its copper mining, smelting and transportation to Beijing, and is known as the "Copper Capital of the South" and the "Hometown of King Qian". The city retains the Ming and Qing style buildings, with government offices, guild halls, temples, etc. scattered in an orderly manner. The eight major guild halls are unique in architecture and are treasures of ancient architectural art. In addition, there is a strong ethnic flavor and many special foods here. Walking in the ancient city is like traveling through time and space, and you can feel the profound historical and cultural heritage and unique charm.
Basic Overview - Historical Evolution: Huize Ancient City was built in the ninth year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (1731) and was presided over by Cui Naiyong, the then governor of Dongchuan.
