Spring is here, and I want to go hiking again. In order to avoid the Qingming Festival, I chose the weekend at the end of March to take the high-speed rail from Shanghai to Shengzhou Xinchang to spend a happy weekend. I came here once last year and walked the Anshan Ancient Road and Xinchang Dafo Temple. This time I made up for the 19th Peak and Shengzhou that I didn't go to last time. But this time I happened to encounter cold air, it was extremely wet and cold, and it rained on Saturday, so I waited until Sunday morning to climb.
Transportation: We took an online taxi from Shengzhou New Century Grand Hotel, and drove 28 kilometers and 44 minutes. We used a coupon for 48 yuan, which was not expensive. It's still quite far from Shengzhou, but fortunately, online taxis are well developed now, which is also very convenient for people like us who can't drive.
Tickets: There is a discount for tickets to the 19th Peak in March, free for women, half price for men at 30 yuan, and the original price is 60 yuan. Feilong Plank Road requires an additional 20 yuan ticket.
Tour route: I referred to the guide of Chuanyan Nineteen Peaks by the old youth of the slash, and took the comprehensive recommended version. I played Feilong Plank Road, Qianzhang Yougu and Chuanyan Nineteen Peaks. I entered from the east gate and exited from the north gate. The whole journey of 7 kilometers took 4 hours, including half an hour of eating and rest time during the climb.
Feilong Plank Road: Pay an additional ticket of 20 yuan. There are 999 steps up the mountain, but they are all low wooden plank roads, which are easy to walk. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the top of the mountain. There is a long winding mountain flat road behind, which is very relaxing and has good scenery. After that, there is a short glass plank road and Feilong Sky Bridge, and then I turned left and walked down the mountain to Qianzhang Yougu. Walking on the glass plank road is a little weak, but it’s okay if you don’t look down.
Qianzhang Yougu: At the foot of the mountain, there are flat gravel roads, which are not difficult at all. There are streams next to it, and there are not many people. It’s very cool. There are also tours of Shanhaijing here at night.
Chuanyan Nineteen Peaks: There are not many people, but the difficulty is much higher than before. The road is easy to walk for a long time in the early stage. The most difficult part is the one-step climb to the sky. There are 99 steps in total, with a slope of nearly 80 degrees. The steps are very high and the road is very narrow. You have to use your hands and feet. You have to go down the mountain on this road. There are ropes on both sides, so you have to walk slowly. After going up, it is much easier to go to the highest peak, Wanghai Peak, but the scenery is just average.
Lunch: There is a big store at the entrance of Feilong Plank Road. There are some grilled sausages at the door to fill your stomach, and there are also simple noodles. We bought two bowls of instant noodles, Master Kong's 10 yuan a bowl, and ate some first, and then went to Xinchang City to eat after going out. There are also several large restaurants in the parking lot near the north gate where you can eat a full meal.
