There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.
Shenyang's city walls are practically gone. Only three gate towers remain, which is a shame. Photos show how beautiful and magnificent the old walls were. If they were all preserved, it would be as magnificent as Xi'an, especially with the Qing Dynasty Forbidden City. We really hope to preserve historical buildings; they have their own unique beauty! In the past two years, Shenyang has made great efforts to preserve some of its old buildings, giving this old industrial city a new tourist attraction. I hope Shenyang continues to improve.
