The Lijiang Qianguqing Scenic Area also offers unique experiences and hidden gems. In Dawa Village, visitors can experience earthenware pottery making, tie-dyeing, lacquer fans, and copperplate engraving. The main attractions in the volcano park are Dakong Mountain and Xiaokong Mountain. The electric cars at the entrance of the scenic area will stop at their respective locations. Dakong Mountain requires more physical strength. Since there are elderly people and children in our group, we directly chose Xiaokong Mountain. It has more than 70 steps and is very friendly. We can easily reach the top, then go around it and return by the same route.
The parking lot of the scenic area is very large. After entering the scenic area, we took the children to the Volcano Museum first, and then took a sightseeing bus to climb Dakong Mountain. On the way, we could overlook the hot air balloons and paragliders. We stopped and walked all the way to the crater. We did not climb Xiaokong Mountain. Compared with Ulan Hada Volcano, the volcanic landform is not too obvious, and there are fewer volcanoes that can be climbed, but it wins in the surrounding green scenery.

I went on August 13th and waited in line for the cable car for an hour and a half. It was unbearable 😣...
I bought my ticket on Ctrip. Remember, I must go to the cable car ticket window to get my paper ticket before lining up!!!
On a sunny day, the cable car offers a stunning view of Erhai Lake in Dali. There's a very high section, so those afraid of heights should keep their eyes closed.
The one-way trip takes about 15 minutes.
Cangshan Mountain in Dali is so beautiful! The Gantong Cableway is great value for money. Along the way, you can see the Cangshan pine forest and overlook Erhai Lake. It's spectacular! The squirrels on Cangshan Mountain are so fat and love to eat potato chips 😁

Mengbanasi is not bad. It is more beautiful if you come in spring when it blooms. There are many beautiful and precious stones and ancient trees. I bought a combined ticket, and Global Pass gave me a 30 yuan discount. I only paid more than 30 yuan for the two attractions, which is quite cost-effective.

Honestly, it's quite fun, especially taking the kids out. However, there are lines to get your tickets, pick up the car, and even get up the mountain. The driver of the mountain shuttle bus is incredibly aggressive, though, and it's much more thrilling than taking the cable car.
We came here right after getting off the train in Dali. The kids thought it was okay, the scenery was nice, and you could see Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. But there were too many people, and cars couldn't get in. We waited in line for half an hour, and it was hard to get a taxi when we got out. The taxis were only available after 7:30.

I took the train with my children from Pu'er for a visit. The round trip train ride took about 2 hours. The scenery was great. There was a small planetarium inside. The only thing was that you had to pay 1 yuan for each pair of foot covers. I think everyone went there for the check-in spot.

The spa at Angsana is really great. There are many types of outdoor hot spring pools, the environment is very beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and there are also treatments. We decided to go to the hot springs on a last minute basis and bought swimsuits on site. All the staff were very welcoming. The bath towels were warm and freshly disinfected. We went in the evening and many guests had already left. We had almost the entire outdoor facilities of the hot springs to ourselves. The experience was extremely perfect.

When sunlight penetrates the clouds, it shimmers on the clear water, creating a shimmering golden glow that leaves one speechless. Cycling along the lakeshore, the breeze carries a sense of freedom. The sunset over Panxi S Bay and the charming Bai ethnic customs of Xizhou Ancient Town are all captivating. However, during peak tourist season, some attractions can be crowded, impacting the experience.
