The building blends classical Eastern culture with Taiwanese characteristics. Its shape resembles a bamboo tree rising tall and strong, its strength and flexibility symbolizing the perpetual vitality of traditional Chinese architecture. The building's facades, inclined at a seven-degree angle, rise gradually upwards. Highly transparent, energy-saving, and heat-insulating curtain glass, which eliminates reflective light pollution, allows visitors to gaze at both the sky and the earth from within Taiwan's tallest building. High-tech materials and innovative lighting create a transparent and clear visual experience, integrating the building with nature and its surroundings on a grand scale.
Easy to use and save you time as you don't need to wait in line to buy a ticket. Overall experience was okay but not spectacular. Observatory for me personally was not worth it as you see the same view. There are many nice decorations to make a picture for Instagram, etc, but I don't do that on my trips, so it depends on your personality to visit observatory or not.

You can enjoy the scenery of Taipei City by taking the cable car. There is also greenery along the way. The wind on the mountain is relatively strong and it feels cool. There are many shops selling tea, and the shop assistants are warm and friendly.
The air up there is very good. It is easy to travel by Maokong Gondola. It takes about half an hour to get to the top. It is very convenient.

The rainy Taipei city finally stopped on Sunday afternoon after days of rain. I quickly went out to find food and take a walk, and admired the beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom in the garden of Liberty Square. part 2

On the weekend make-up day, after get off work, I went to Longshan Temple in Monga to pay my respects to Guanyin Bodhisattva, and also visited the peace lanterns and various traditional lanterns set up for the Lantern Festival. part 2
Situated in a very accessible location in Wanhua District and has a long history in folk temple architecture, making it an easy recommendation for any Taipei excursion.

Raohe Night Market is a popular and more manageable alternative to larger night markets like Shilin. It’s famous for its vibrant atmosphere, delicious street food (especially the pepper pork buns), and cultural setting near Ciyou Temple. Visitors praise its variety, reasonable prices, and lively vibe, though it can get crowded on weekends. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot for food lovers and travelers wanting an authentic local experience.
Very lively atmosphere and a plethora of street food and souvenir shopping options. Most, if not all, stores provided English, so getting by around wasn’t difficult at all.

Located in Xinyi District, Xiangshan is conveniently located. It is a leisure park for citizens and one of the best places to overlook Taipei 101. When night falls, many photography enthusiasts will climb Xiangshan to take the best position to shoot the Taipei 101 with lights on at night. Xiangshan Scenic Area is free and does not charge admission. It is recommended to climb the mountain at dusk to enjoy the view.
As the name of the elephant in Xiangshan, which is close to the city center, suggests, if you climb it, you can see large rocks. Above all, it is a great view and a great place to take pictures with Taipei 101 as the background. And the transportation is a 10-minute walk from Xiangshan Station on the Red Line to the Xiangshan hiking trail entrance. The height of the stairs may be difficult at first, but it is a short hike that can usually be reached in 20-30 minutes.

Fantastic fine art and modern art gallery in Taipei, and so cheap! The building itself is beautiful snd very well laid out, very spacious even when busy. Worth a visit!
With this price and the size of the exhibition, it is very suitable for a must-see itinerary when visiting Taipei. The size is just right and the price is very reasonable. Because it is the Taipei City Art Museum, you can visit a large art museum for a small price.
