A great place to visit for anyone who loves art and history. The museum houses thousands of fascinating artifacts, each accompanied by detailed explanations that make the experience even more enriching. It’s also very solo-traveller friendly—you can use the audio guide headset for clear, informative commentary without needing to join a tour group. A must-visit for culture enthusiasts!
This place is full of special items that will stun you, better to book a guided session via the official website. It will be way better organized and efficient to have a guide to lead you through those exhibitions items and explain to you than walk along by yourself. Definitely worth 1-2 hours of your time in Taipei for this palace.

The building blends classical Eastern culture with Taiwanese characteristics. Its shape resembles a bamboo tree rising tall and strong, its strength and flexibility symbolizing the perpetual vitality of traditional Chinese architecture. The building's facades, inclined at a seven-degree angle, rise gradually upwards. Highly transparent, energy-saving, and heat-insulating curtain glass, which eliminates reflective light pollution, allows visitors to gaze at both the sky and the earth from within Taiwan's tallest building. High-tech materials and innovative lighting create a transparent and clear visual experience, integrating the building with nature and its surroundings on a grand scale.
Easy to use and save you time as you don't need to wait in line to buy a ticket. Overall experience was okay but not spectacular. Observatory for me personally was not worth it as you see the same view. There are many nice decorations to make a picture for Instagram, etc, but I don't do that on my trips, so it depends on your personality to visit observatory or not.

🌟 5 Stars – Yehliu Geopark: Rocks With Attitude! 🤣🪨🌊 🌟Booked through Trip.com and everything was super smooth, even smoother than my morning kopi kicking in. Yehliu is honestly one of the funniest and most beautiful places I’ve visited. The rocks here really act like celebrities — the Queen’s Head looks like she’s posing for a 10,000-year photoshoot 👑😂. Mushroom rocks, ginger rocks and all the quirky shapes kept us laughing nonstop. The sea breeze was like free natural aircon 🌬️ and the views were breathtaking. Super easy for kids and elderly; my mum even said, “This place I want to come again!” which is basically her 6-star rating. We took so many photos until my phone almost gave up on life 🤣. The whole place feels like nature’s comedy show mixed with a peaceful seaside walk. Perfect for families, couples, and anyone who just wants to enjoy good vibes, good wind, and good laughs. Totally worth the trip! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Taiwan, will enjoy 😄✨
Yehliu Geopark – Boasting unique and beautiful rocks, Yehliu Geopark is a cape extending from the Datun Mountain range into the sea. Weathering, marine erosion, and tectonic movements have created spectacular landscapes such as mushroom rocks, sea caves, tofu rocks, candle-shaped rocks, and potholes, making it an internationally renowned natural scenic spot. Among them, the "Queen's Head" is Yehliu's most iconic landmark and a popular photo spot.

Incredible experience, especially for the price. I went in blind and was pleasantly surprised with the Panda exhibit! The animals seem in good spirits too—which was the most important thing.
Best combo ticket ever! You can visit the Taipei zoo, cable cars and the Taipei 101 observation deck. Buy online and receive three QR codes, one for each place. Really efficient and great value for money!

Liberty Square, formerly known as Zhongzheng Square, is located at No. 21, Zhongshan South Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan Province, China. Located in the heart of Taipei City, the square covers a total area of 250,000 square meters. It serves as a public plaza, a large-scale event venue, a center for arts and cultural performances, and a popular tourist destination in Taiwan. Liberty Square is surrounded by Hangzhou South Road, Zhongshan South Road, Aiguo East Road, and Xinyi Road. The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is the main attraction, and other public buildings include Zhongzheng Park, the Liberty Square Archway, the Avenue of Remembrance, the National Theater, and the National Concert Hall.
The rainy Taipei city finally stopped on Sunday afternoon after days of rain. I quickly went out to find food and take a walk, and admired the beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom in the garden of Liberty Square. part 2

It's always a good place to know the history of Chiang. The old house is kept and remained perfectly fine. The aunties and uncles inside are very hospitality to help me introduce The history of the house. Some spots are not allowed to photos while some can take 📸
Shilin Residence is a large park with a Chiang and Song Dynasty Former Residence Exhibition Hall. The former residence shows the stories of Chiang and Song Dynasty's daily living space. The park is open all year round, and the former residence has a one and a half hour break at noon every day. The staff are super enthusiastic and strongly recommend us to rent a free audio guide, stamp the special small seal, and take photos for us. It is more cost-effective to buy tickets on Ctrip! It is more cost-effective to buy a joint ticket for the Forbidden City.

A museum in a very beautiful location and a building with a story. Carefully tells the story of the small island's vicissitudes of life, flowers, birds, fish and insects. Whether it is children or adults, coming here is a good experience. Outside is the 228 Memorial Park, which is rich in greenery and full of fun.
Great combo ticket for multiple museums in Taipei, I only managed three of the four but totally worth it! The national museum, natural history museum and the railway museum are all within a 15 minute walk. The ticket allows you to use the QR code once at each, great way to escape the heat!
