Fengcheng River was dug in the fifth year of Xiande in the Later Zhou Dynasty (958 AD). It is 11.12 kilometers long and is one of the most complete ancient city rivers in Jiangsu Province. The water area is 833,000 square meters, forming a "double water around the city" pattern. As the "mother river" of Taizhou, it connects historical relics, opera culture, commercial folk customs and other diverse landscapes, and is known as the "historical and cultural corridor" that condenses Taizhou's millennium context.
