Following the railway&#39;s decision to divest non-core freight railway assets prior to the company&#39;s privatization in 1995, it transferred the tower to the Canada Lands Company.

Then continue walking south (preferably along Bay St) for more than 10 minutes and you will reach the seaside (Harbour Front). There are ferries there and you can also see planes landing.

The futuristic Toronto City Hall is an iconic building in Toronto and is almost as famous as the towers. City Hall is located at the top of Nathan Phillips Square, next to the old Toronto City Hall building. Having these two buildings together really emphasizes the contrast between the old and the new. The newer City Hall has two towers that are centered around a central circular spacecraft, like a pod, where the City Council meets.
