Rosewood Guangzhou—A luxurious experience above the clouds✨
I checked into the Rosewood Guangzhou last week, and as a devoted Rosewood fan, I have to say: This is absolutely the pinnacle of luxury in China! Despite the rainy weather, the misty atmosphere of the 96th-floor lobby bar only added to the ethereal atmosphere. Every snap was a true masterpiece! Compared to Beijing's magnificent Siheyuan courtyard-style Chinese aesthetic, the Guangzhou branch takes modernity to the extreme. This hotel is a true lover! ❤️
🏙️ Cloudy Locations
📍Address: 93rd-108th Floor, Chow Tai Fook Finance Center, Zhujiang New Town (smashing the record for tallest hotel in China!)
🚇Transportation: A 5-minute walk from Grand Theatre Station on the APM Line, and a 10-minute drive to Canton Tower and Taikoo Hui.
💎 Staying in an Art Museum
• The room is a soft cream hue, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing a panoramic view of the Pearl River. Our Deluxe River View room had a bathtub facing the slender waistline. On a cloudy day, the warm lighting added to the ambiance.
• The amenities are from the niche fragrance brand Lorenzo Villoresi loves the frosted glass in the bathroom; it's a great way to avoid clutter in your mirror selfies (a minimalist black outfit is even more effective).
• I ran into several influencer girls in the elevator. The 95th-floor sky pool and the 107th-floor sky bar are must-see spots.
📸 Photography Guide
1. Lobby Spiral Staircase: Shoot from an upward angle and use a wide-angle lens; rainy days will create a hazy halo on the glass curtain wall.
2. Guest Room Floor-to-ceiling Windows: Capture silhouettes in the early morning or evening; wear slim-fitting, light-colored clothing.
3. Too High Bar on the 107th Floor: Order the "Cloud" cocktail in the evening for a bird's-eye view of the lights of Zhujiang New Town.
🍽️ Taste Buds
• Breakfast on the 95th floor is more Cantonese than the magnificent Beijing restaurant. I highly recommend the shrimp wonton noodles.
• Hidden Gem: Request a flower petal bath with housekeeping for your anniversary, which will include a handwritten card and a macaron tower.
⚠️ Useful Tips
• High-altitude hotels may sway slightly in strong winds, so those with sensitive skin are advised to bring motion sickness medication.
• Weekend afternoon tea reservations must be made three days in advance, with window seats starting at 388 yuan per person.
• "Song," a Sichuan restaurant on the B2 level of the nearby K11 shopping mall, perfectly complements the hotel's style.
As a hotel lover who's slept at Rosewood hotels in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, the Guangzhou branch wins with its modern urban feel and high-altitude amenities, making it a perfect fit for young people who appreciate trendy design. Finally, here's a selfie of me in the bathroom mirror. Even on a cloudy day, I manage to capture that luxurious vibe. #GuangzhouSkyHotel #RosewoodHotelCheckIn #ZhujiangNewtownGuide #DesignHotel #HotelLoveDaily
