Wow, it's a masterpiece of nature. Went to Longmen Grottoes! As soon as I got off the bus, I was hit by the historical atmosphere. Strolling along the Yi River, the grottoes stacked up layer upon layer, it was incredibly spectacular. The Vairocana Buddha was so stunning, his eyes were so compassionate, it's a true treasure. The only regret was that there were so many people, so all the photos were group photos.
I was very lucky to come to the long-awaited Longmen Grottoes, and I was also very lucky to make an appointment with the gold medal tour guide "Teacher Liang Liang", who was really professional. The whole trip lasted three and a half hours. Teacher Liang Liang was very professional and helped us explain in a very delicate way all the knowledge and insights we wanted to know and beyond my own cognition. Her explanation also added a lot of surprises and colors to this trip. I seemed to have traveled back to an era more than a thousand years ago through her explanation, and it was as if I was having a conversation with our ancestors more than a thousand years ago. It was really worth the trip. I strongly recommend that everyone make an appointment with Guide Liang, because a professional tour guide is really too important. I also wish everyone can take time out of their busy schedule to start a soul travel journey with themselves. This place is truly great. The room is spacious, with a big bed, perfect for two kids. The location is great, with a mountain view from the window, and at night, the lights on the mountain resemble the Big Dipper. It's also conveniently located near two cable cars, one just over a hundred meters away and the other just 3-5 minutes. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. The owner is an indigenous person, and the three siblings/brother-in-law run the front desk and wait staff. The chef is incredibly skilled, and the corn soup was a constant source of requests. The owner always reminds us that portions are generous and extra is a waste, and that free side dishes are available for free with the free breakfast. I usually don't review hotels when I travel, but I definitely leave a positive review for this one. Let everyone enjoy the experience at Yunyin B&B.

What time can I redeem my silver bills for refrigerator magnets? I arrived at Hanyuan Pier at 3:20, and the security guard said the staff weren't at work yet. I went out for lunch and arrived just after 5:00, and they said they were off duty. I'm going to file a real-name complaint for being late and leaving early... It was still a lot of fun. After dinner in the afternoon, you can watch Wang Po's Matchmaking show, and then schedule an appointment to see the iron flower show. The next morning, you can return to the park for breakfast, watch and participate in various small performances, and then at 11 a.m., watch the large-scale live performance "Three Strikes on Zhujiazhuang." The 80 yuan ticket gives you unlimited entry to the park for three days, which is quite attractive!

Great Wudang, great beauty! Very beautiful. Climb the mountain first, then take the cable car down, and then visit other Taoist temples. Planning well saves energy. Almost all the attractions are visited. It's great!
We visited during the last week of August, so the crowds were much smaller. The main halls of Nanyan Palace and Zixiao Palace were under renovation. After taking the scenic shuttle bus and the cable car, it's another 20-minute hike up the mountain to the Golden Summit, where the scenery is breathtaking. For a more relaxed descent, you can take the cable car and the scenic shuttle bus back down the mountain. A more robust hike down to Nanyan is at least 3-4 hours. After getting off at the Nanyan scenic shuttle bus stop, you have to walk several hundred meters to the parking lot to catch the bus to the visitor center. Why can't you transfer there? It's unfriendly and I hope this will be improved.

It’s a lifesaver if you need to cover Shaolin Temple, watch the free kungfu performance and yet hike the Shaoshi Peak all within the same day. It saves you huge amount of time without having you to rush through the hike and missed photographing all the nice spots. The cost is also super value for money if you compare ropeway prices of other mountains in China.
Because of poor time management, I missed the free viewing time of the martial arts performance at the theater. I should have chosen a good time first and watched it before going inside.

1️⃣ We strongly recommend arriving a day early and staying overnight in a B&B near the Baquanxia parking lot. Enter the scenic area at 7:00 AM the next day. You can go rafting in Qinglong Gorge the afternoon before.
2️⃣ If you can't enter the scenic area before 8:00 AM, don't come!
We strongly advise against coming in the afternoon; it's very hot and crowded, and you'll definitely run into trouble if you don't heed the advice.
3️⃣ Arrive early. Route A is recommended (buy a ticket on a certain route). The scenery is all in the first half of Route A, allowing you to take beautiful photos while you're most energetic. The canyon is very cool in the morning, and if you walk quickly, you can get out before noon.
[Detailed Itinerary]
🚣🏼August 6th (Wednesday)
Chartered car from Changzhi East Station directly to Qinglongxia River Rafting.
Opening hours: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The water is cool and quite exciting.
It's recommended to arrive early to avoid crowds. We checked in at 1:30 PM and had to queue for the shuttle bus to the river. We finished our swim and shower at 3:20 PM.
Reminders:
1️⃣ Purchase your ticket online an hour in advance to get it checked in; otherwise, you'll have to buy it on-site.
2️⃣ You'll get soaked, so you don't need a raincoat. You can buy slippers, water guns, and buckets on-site. Luggage storage is available.
3️⃣ Make sure you bring a change of clothes! Swimsuits are welcome. There's a simple shower, so bring shampoo and shower gel.
4️⃣ You can get a ride from the parking lot to Baquan Gorge for 30 RMB.
⛰️August 7 (Thursday) Baquan Gorge
7:35 AM - Walk from the B&B to Parking Lot 2. Take the free scenic area shuttle for 2 minutes to the scenic area gate. There are a lot of people checking in, so you'll have to wait in line.
Pitfall 1️⃣: If you're not driving, you still need to enter the parking lot to take the bus! Don't wait outside on the roadside.
Pitfall 2️⃣: Be sure to buy your ticket online in advance! Enter by scanning your ID card. Tickets purchased on-site are often crowded and require a line.
7:50 AM - Sightseeing bus ride (waited in line for half an hour, the longest of the day. There were 15 people per bus, so it was a bit slow).
Pitfall 3: Line B is in the left column, Line A is in the right column. Don't stand in the wrong row.
8:20 AM - The sightseeing bus takes 3 minutes to the tunnel entrance. A 5-minute walk through the tunnel leads to the cruise ship terminal. It wasn't crowded, so boarding was quick.
8:40 AM - Cruise departs. Upon disembarking, you'll find the Eight Springs Heart checkpoint.
Then walk through the canyon. It's not too hot or too sunny. We spent a long time taking photos, taking 3 hours. The walk to the cable car normally takes 1-2 hours.
11:50 AM - Arrived at the cable car station. Lines lined up for the cable car 🚠, which went over several hills. After getting off, there were places to eat.
We didn't climb up to the Jade Emperor Pavilion, but you can go to the back of the pavilion to see the scenery (p4).
There were no other attractions after that, so we had to transfer to other small public transportation.
Took the Sky Bus. Scan the QR code to buy a ticket for 20 yuan, which is recommended. The walk down the mountain takes 40 minutes. There's no shade along that stretch, so it's very sunny. There were 30 people per trip, so we waited a short while before getting on. However, the line B was very long at that time, so there was no shade and it was very sunny.
Then took the elevator. It was less crowded, so we waited for the first one and got on.
1:20 PM - After exiting the elevator, we arrived at the sightseeing bus stop. We exited the scenic area and took the scenic bus to Parking Lot 1. We arrived at Parking Lot 2 at 1:45 PM and returned to our B&B.

It's really too small. It's all very modern. There are a lot of people who come here because of its reputation. The staff are very good. But there is really too little historical and cultural information when you visit.
Kaifeng's shared bikes are convenient. I saw online reports of university students from Zhengzhou paralyzing Kaifeng's traffic, and I thought there were no bikes left.
The only unpleasant part was that when we finally left, we were only a little over a kilometer away, and before we even got on the highway, we were stopped by two traffic cameras. I have to admire Kaifeng's strict traffic management.
The Great Song Kaifeng Mansion was built according to the scale of a prefecture prescribed by the Song Dynasty's "Construction Code," covering a total area of 130,000 square meters. This mansion is not only a vivid display of Song Dynasty culture and history, but also an important window into the political, economic, and cultural aspects of the period.
Inside the mansion, you can appreciate the beauty of Song Dynasty architecture and art, while gaining a deeper understanding of the rich history of the Song Dynasty, including its official system and rituals.
We took the children to see a 3D movie, which was quite enjoyable, except for the heat.
