Pengzuping Nature Reserve is located in Longjia Village, Madi Township, Longsheng County. It is a primeval forest that has not been damaged by human activities. There are rich species in the forest area, including the national first-level protected southern yew, the national second-level protected white yew, the South China five-needle pine group, the long-bracted hemlock, the comb-shaped cedar, the red-flowered magnolia, the white-flowered magnolia, the Fujian cypress, etc. There are also many other common tree species. There are also many wild animals in the forest area. The national second-level protected animals include the red-bellied tragopan, the red-bellied pheasant, the water civet, and the forest musk deer; common animals include civets, leopard cats, mountain monkeys, wild boars, and snakes.
