I've been to Xi'an many times, always on business. This was my first time visiting the Terracotta Army Museum as a tourist. The real scene was much more shocking than the video. I marveled at the wisdom of the ancients and felt the profoundness of Chinese culture. It was a truly wonderful experience.
You absolutely need a guide, otherwise you'll just be watching the locals. A careful observation will take 4-5 hours. The most spectacular sight is the bronze chariots and horses.
The unconventional part is that the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum's electric cart parking area forces everyone to walk a long way down the commercial pedestrian street, even though they could just go straight back.

The Longmen Grottoes start from the West Hill Grottoes and go to the East Hill Grottoes. You can play there from day to night. The night view is great. However, you have to climb very high steps to see the grottoes on both sides, especially the East Hill Grottoes. It is as tiring as climbing a mountain. There are too many people during the National Day holiday!
Longmen Grottoes, one of the three major grotto art treasures of Chinese Buddhism, has a strong historical and cultural atmosphere. It is very meaningful for children to understand history. The Buddha statues in the grottoes are very spectacular and worth visiting.

It was packed with people during the National Day holiday, and it felt inconvenient to bring the elderly. There were so many steps, and even we young people found it a bit strenuous. The sculptures in the final hall were truly stunning, and it was definitely worth the trip! I just hope they can build some flat roads to make it easier for the elderly to get up and down.

We only had a minor mishap in the area when my child sprained his ankle, but the staff at the scenic area, the shop owners in Doupotang, and the staff at the VIP center provided endless care, including medicine, ice, and a ride back to the hotel. The Hukou Waterfall in Shaanxi is good. It is a 50-yuan filming location. There is some truth to it. The one in Shanxi may be better if you look at the jet stream layer. However, the rain and fog splash strongly. I think Shaanxi is pretty good. The clothes are not so wet.
