If you drive to Yuhu Village by yourself, you don't need to buy a sightseeing bus ticket. Just find a restaurant that you can register. There are some restaurants where you can call the owner to register and the car can drive up.
My second visit to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain didn't disappoint. The snow-capped mountains in the distance were still magnificent, but the lines were much longer this time. The waits for tickets and the cable car were quite long, and I spent a lot of time waiting. Overall, the view was worth it. If the scenic area could optimize visitor flow and reduce waiting times, the experience would be much smoother.

Although I bought the entrance ticket, there are many courtyards in the village that charge a fee or allow taking photos, which is too commercial. Apart from this, the scenery and atmosphere are still good.
This time I checked in at Tengchong Ginkgo Village. The overall experience was pretty good, and I give it four stars. I came here for the beautiful scenery of ginkgo trees, but unfortunately the itinerary was arranged earlier. When I arrived, most of the ginkgo leaves were still green, with sporadic golden leaves dotted among them. I didn't see the spectacular golden scenery of the mountains and plains as I imagined, which was a bit regrettable. However, the village itself is very charming, with quaint farmhouses and winding alleys. Walking through it, you can feel the quiet and leisurely rural atmosphere. The local villagers are also very hospitable, and the special farm dishes are delicious, which makes this journey a little warmer. It is recommended that friends who want to come must pay attention to the best viewing period of ginkgo in advance. I believe that when the leaves are all yellow, this place will be stunningly beautiful!

The park lives up to its title as the first national park in mainland China. It's divided into three sections. Since I was traveling with my parents, we chose to hike in the last two sections, which include the lake and Bita Lake. The weather was bad when we arrived—cloudy with showers, and the rain was quite heavy. Plus, I didn't get enough rest the first few days, so I felt a little carsick, or maybe it was altitude sickness?! This slightly impacted the experience, but overall, it was a wonderful experience. A national park worth visiting. Besides the meadows and lakes, the diverse biodiversity is even more noteworthy. The squirrel Tashi is incredibly adorable and friendly, and there are all sorts of water birds. I even heard about black bears, but I didn't see any. Wildlife enthusiasts will find this place truly delightful. The scenery truly lives up to its national park title—it's incredibly beautiful. Even with the constant rain, the sky, meadows, and lakes offered a variety of different views throughout the day. At the end of the trip, we even saw a rainbow—feeling quite lucky! In addition, I think the point of traveling is to observe and feel purely without comparison. Maybe some components of the scenery here are also found in other places, but everything has its own uniqueness. Only by feeling without prejudice and preconceived notions can you see the beauty of the world!
This beautiful national park is a great option for those planning to spend half a day doing some light trekking and appreciating nature in a curated manner. For context, we left Dukezong by bus at 11 am and only returned at around 6 pm. We took our sweet time exploring the two lakes and had lunch in the park as well. It's well worth the price and time to visit Potatso when the crowd volume is manageable like the time we visited as it meant no waiting time for the buses and more time to enjoy the scenery. Quick tip: if you don't intend to spend on food and drinks (which understandably is pricier than what you find in the city), I suggest that you bring your own there. Just make sure to dispose your waste responsibly. It was unfortunate to see plastic bottles and packagings left behind by strangers.

[August Xizhou Ancient Town: In the rice fields and Bai customs, meet the romance of summer] August Xizhou Ancient Town is a treasure land filled with greenery and fireworks! Less than half an hour's drive from the ancient city of Dali, just got off the bus and was surprised by the endless rice fields at the entrance of the village. The green rice waves undulating with the wind, and some egrets passed by. The blue sky and white clouds lined the white tiles and white walls of the Bai people's houses. No wonder everyone runs here with their cameras. Time in the ancient town is very slow. The stone road is winding and twisting, and there are intact Bai old houses on both sides. The darts and the carved doors and windows are all exquisite. Walking in is like breaking into the time museum. The key point is to praise the Yanjia Courtyard, not only to see the exquisiteness of Bai architecture, but also to understand the history of Xizhou business gangs. The pomegranate trees in the yard are full of fruits, especially the atmosphere of life. In August, just in time for the local fruit peak season! The roadside stalls are full of yellow figs, sweet grapes, and freshly picked blueberries, affordable and fresh. Of course, Xizhou is indispensable. It is recommended to bake sweet mouths (rose filling) and salted mouths (pork end), the outer skin is crispy and the inner is soft, with a cup of milk fan Shaqima, and the carbide is happy to be directly full. I found a small shop by the river and sat down to eat, watched the flowing water, listened to the locals chatting in dialect. It's so pleasant. In the afternoon, you can rent a bicycle to ride along the rice fields, blow the wind through the fields, pass the villagers' vegetable fields and ponds, and feel the most simple pastoral scenery. In the evening, the light on the edge of the rice field became soft, taking pictures with filters, and many newcomers took wedding photos here, which was very romantic. The only thing to note is that it is a bit sun-dried in the afternoon of August, remember to do a good job of sun protection; there are a little more tourists on the main street of the ancient town, but you can find a cleanliness when you turn into the alley, suitable for slowly shaking. Overall, Xizhou does not have the hustle and bustle of Dali Ancient City, but has more idyllic and humanistic heritage. Come here in August, like putting the beauty of the whole summer in your hands, recommend it to friends who want to slow down and feel Dali ~
Well, the entire Dali Erhai Lake circle is about 80 kilometers long, and you will pass through many ancient towns in the middle, such as Xizhou Ancient Town. At the same time, there will be a lot of people renting cars, and you can also see many luxury cars. But you should pay attention to whether you choose to tour clockwise or counterclockwise. Sometimes, there will be more traffic jams in one direction.

I had hoped for a molten golden sunset by the sea, but instead, I encountered a lingering rainy day, which unexpectedly brought a unique tenderness. Lead-gray clouds hung low above the horizon, and the wind, wrapped in sea mist, blew against my face, bringing a salty, damp coolness that was far more soothing than the sweltering heat of a sunny day. The beach had lost its usual bustle, a few scattered footprints quickly smoothed by the rising tide. The fishing boats in the distance were blurred silhouettes in the mist, like a smudged ink painting. I found a small seaside shop, sat down, ordered a cup of hot ginger tea, and watched the rain slant into the sea, splashing tiny drops of water. Occasionally, a seagull flew past, close to the crest of the waves, its cries softened by the wind. Without the glare of the sun, even time seemed to slow down. No need to rush to tourist attractions or snap photos, just quietly listening to the crashing waves and rain was a more soothing experience than the bustle of a sunny day. A rainy evening by the sea lacked the expected breathtaking spectacle, but it brought an unexpected sense of relaxation. If you also want to avoid the crowds and find some quiet time, such a moment may be more worthwhile than a clear sky.
🌊 "Proven myself | Driving around Erhai Lake is the ultimate way to experience Dali's romantic charm!" If Dali's "romance" were a poem, then driving around Erhai Lake is the most free and unrestrained way to recite it! Renting a convertible here is very convenient and affordable. 💨 🚗 Step on the accelerator and enter a fairyland. ► Recommended: The Haidong Route! The road winds along the lake, and the car windows feel like a giant theater—Cangshan Mountain on the left, Erhai Lake on the right. Every turn is a "wow" moment! ► Don't miss the idyllic scenery of Haixi. Drive through rice paddies and villages, dotted with Bai ethnic minority dwellings. It's like stepping into a live version of a pastoral poem. 🌾 ► Pull over whenever you see a charming spot: take photos of the mirrored sky on the lakeside boardwalk, or wait for the sunset by the wetlands. Feel free to indulge in the feeling of freedom! 🌿 Ecological Corridor: Green healing on wheels. Don't underestimate the driving experience; the ecological experience is uncompromising! Cycle along the Ecological Corridor at night. The S-bend is bustling with activity, with many people singing and dancing. ✅ Enjoy breathtaking lake views throughout the ride. The waters of Erhai Lake are as clear as sapphires, and waterfowl dance in the wetlands along the shore. ✅ Pass by popular photo spots like the S-bend, the Corridor Bridge, and the Couple Tree, and hop off the bike to pose whenever you want. 📸 ✅ Play "Going to Dali" in the car while feeling the lake breeze—who knows this ambiance? 💡 Exclusive Tips ▪️ Vehicle Recommendation: Convertibles or cars with sunroofs are more photogenic! ▪️ Timeline: We recommend a morning sunrise or an afternoon departure, circling the lake counterclockwise to catch the golden sunset at Erhai Lake. 🌅 ▪️ Stops: Shuanglang Observation Deck, Wase Waterway, and Xizhou Ancient Town—each one is worth a stop! 🌟 Why is driving the best? Freedom! Spontaneity! No sun exposure! Perfect for lazy travelers, families, and couples—no need to ride in the scorching sun or hike, just hum along in the air-conditioned car and take in the breathtaking scenery. 📌 Follow me to unlock more magical routes! #DaliSelf-DrivingGuide #ErhaiStunningHighway #Wind,Flowers,Snow,MoonFreeTravel #TravelTips

There is a passion called climbing Haba Snow Mountain, and there is a beauty called hiking Haba Black Lake. If you haven't been here yet, make an appointment with me and take you to hike on the plateau pasture to appreciate the holy water and holy lake, or to overlook the Meili Snow Mountain, Yulong Snow Mountain, Yading Three Sacred Mountains and other snow-capped mountains from the top of Haba Snow Mountain.
I arrogantly chose Haba Snow Mountain, the most challenging of all the snowy mountain climbs. It ended up being a real lesson for me. My companions and I woke up at 2 a.m., packed our gear, and ate a snack. We set off from Base Camp at 4,160 meters at 3 a.m., traversing the muddy jungle path and then the large stone and gravel road uphill, overtaking other groups. The wind on the stone slope was so strong it seemed to sweep us away. We climbed relentlessly against the wind, taking 10-20 steps to catch our breath. We rushed to the rest stop at 4,500 meters, restocked, and continued our ascent. At 4,700 meters, my right thigh suddenly... I had a cramp, and the guide gave me a leg press to loosen it up before continuing the climb. On the way to 4900 meters, I got another cramp in my left thigh. Both legs cramped in the same spot, a first for me. The guide urged me to descend, but I said I'd be fine after some leg presses. After another leg press, I continued my ascent. During the climb, the guide told me that my companions and I were the fastest climbers of the day. It was just before 6 a.m., and we were at 4990 meters, changing cramps and making the final push. The guide noticed my discomfort and urged me to descend. I wanted to challenge myself and persevere to the summit, not wanting my first snowy mountain climb to end in regret. The guide said the last 400 meters were the hardest (especially the Despair Slope), and that cramping on the Despair Slope was dangerous. After cramping in both legs, continuing the ascent (the Despair Slope) increases the risk of secondary cramps, which is dangerous. I didn't want to give up at all, but in the end, I stopped at 5000 meters for safety reasons. 🏔️ Thinking about it now, it would be a lie to say I didn't have any regrets. My companions and I had been looking forward to this trip to Haba Snow Mountain for a long time, and we'd already bought all the gear. But it all came down to my own lack of preparation. I went home and started to strengthen my physical training. The mountain is there, and I'll definitely be back!

I've visited the Wannan Ancient Town and wasn't impressed. The ticket is valid for seven days, which is a good thing. The parking lot is too far from the entrance, making it difficult for those with mobility issues.
Although the ticket price for Heshun Ancient Town is relatively high, the long duration of the tour makes it a great value! The ancient town is large and has a wide variety of scenery. Visiting a different area every day is a real treat!

The scenery was breathtaking. Water was crystal clear. We went on a lull period so it was very peaceful and quiet. We took a didi to lige peninsula but couldn’t get a didi back. Nobody picks up our booking. Luckily the original didi driver gave us his number but he charges cny80 to take you back to daluoshui village. It was only cny17 to get there. Better to pay him to wait for you at the lige peninsula viewing platform for cny50
When the weather is nice, you must visit Lugu Lake. See the reflections of the blue sky and white clouds on the lake, touch the vast expanse of water lilies, ride a pig trough boat on the water, feel the breeze from the grass sea and the bright sunshine. Walk around the lake, watch the wind roll in the clouds, admire the sunrise and sunset, and then enjoy a quiet moment of daze, then have a steamed stone pot fish. I hope to repeat this cycle over and over again, forgetting all my worries.

The scenery of Heihe Laopo is very beautiful and it is worth going. Before leaving, I was worried that it would be unsafe to drive alone. The driver Xiao Zhang was very enthusiastic. The road from the city to the scenic area is difficult to drive. Master Xiao Zhang drove steadily. Seeing that I was alone, he accompanied me to climb for a long time. He took good care of me all the way and picked some unfamiliar mushrooms to explain some local knowledge to me. I highly recommend it
The scenery of Heihe Laopo should be more beautiful in summer. I was attracted by other people's photos before, but when I went there in early March, most of the grass was still yellow. But as a way of hiking, it is still worth a visit. The round-trip hiking time is about 4 hours. When you reach the top of the mountain, you can see all the small mountains. The visual effect is very good. On one side of Heihe Laopo is an alpine meadow, and cattle and sheep can be seen when the wind blows the grass low. On the other side is a primeval forest, just like entering the magical world of Stranger Things, but it requires physical strength.

Dali Ancient City is located in Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province, bordering Erhai Lake and nestled against Cangshan Mountain. Construction began in 1382, the 15th year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty. Its structure, a checkerboard-like grid of three streets and 18 alleys, features north-south city gates facing each other and east-west gates staggered. Three main streets run north-south, six alleys run east-west, and a network of secluded streets and lanes crisscrosses from west to east.
It is very suitable for being lazy, leisurely and slow-paced, with a petty-bourgeois style 😁. It is very comfortable to relax for half a month after work. In the afternoon, you can lie down in the courtyard, drink tea, and daydream. In the evening, you can buy a cup of special drinks, grab a special snack, and visit special shops. There are also many bars in the evening, listening to music and making tea around the fire. It is really comfortable.
