I had a fantastic trip to Universal Studios Beijing! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter captivated me the moment I entered the park. Hogwarts Castle was breathtaking, and the Forbidden Journey ride was a must-try. The 5D effect was incredibly realistic, and it felt like I was truly adventuring in the magical world. The Decepticon roller coaster was also incredibly thrilling and a welcome relief. Besides the rides, the float parade was also fun, and the performers were incredibly enthusiastic. The Three Broomsticks restaurant also had excellent food and a great atmosphere. However, weekends can be quite crowded, and lines can be long. If you want to maximize your experience, I recommend buying an Express Pass or visiting on a weekday.
This is my second time at Universal Studios. Why did I choose a 1.5-day trip? It was to let my kids have a blast again. During the summer vacation, there will definitely be a lot of people, and I'm afraid we won't be able to enjoy everything in one day. This time, we had a lot of fun and we went through all the rides twice and three times...

Magnificent palace and so much preserved throughout the dynasties. Loads of walking, I came in the summer, so sunblock, portable fan, and super comfortable walking shoes are a must! Do bring a sturdy, reusable shopping bag for all the souvenirs that you will be purchasing. I took a chance and asked if the shop was able to deliver all my purchases to my hotel, and they did for a small fee. Overall, loved it. But didn't get to spend enough time here.
The guide I heard from Xiucai was incredibly knowledgeable! Along the way, he not only explained the architectural features and historical background of the Forbidden City in incredible detail, but also interspersed countless interesting palace stories and details, like the symbolism of the small animals on the roof of the Hall of Supreme Harmony and the story of Emperor Qianlong's secret study. I was riveted and engrossed the entire time. The guide was incredibly engaging, humorous, and brought the history to life. He also frequently engaged with us, keeping us entertained and entertained throughout the entire trip. He was also incredibly attentive, leading us to shady areas for our explanations in the heat. He also proactively answered any questions we had, even before we asked. His service was truly thoughtful! Exploring the Forbidden City with Xiucai's guide was a truly immersive experience in the charm of history and culture. It was a truly worthwhile trip, and I'll definitely be back with Xiucai next time I visit!

I originally came to see the Buddha statues, but I was unexpectedly struck by the greenery at the Yungang Grottoes. From the parking lot to the entrance, the road was lush with greenery, lush grass, and vibrant flowers. The area itself was also very well maintained, providing a wonderful viewing environment. There are over forty caves, and the stone Buddha statues are exquisite. I marveled at the exceptional craftsmen of that era. The excavation of the Longmen Grottoes began after the Northern Wei Dynasty relocated its capital to Luoyang.
The tour started at 2:00 PM and ended at 5:00 PM. Our guide, Xiaoguan, was very thorough and interesting throughout the entire tour. He answered every question and even recommended some local delicacies. They were quite good. Unfortunately, many of the caves weren't open this time, so we couldn't see the largest and smallest. What a shame!

Stepping into Prince Gong's Mansion feels like stepping back through time. As the largest princely residence of the Qing Dynasty, it embodies the grandeur of an imperial garden while retaining the exquisite elegance of a Jiangnan courtyard. The Yin'an Hall and Jiale Hall in the middle wing embody the palace's majesty. The Xijinzhai in the west wing replicates the design of the Ningshou Palace, with its luxurious gold-bricked flooring still astonishing. The Duofuxuan and Ledao Hall in the east wing retain a sense of life, their wood carvings and painted details imbued with ingenuity. The "Houzhaolou" in the backyard stretches a hundred meters, its legend of "99 and a half rooms" adding a touch of mystery. The "Fu" stele in the Miyun Cave attracts countless visitors seeking blessings.
In short, it is too small. Visiting Prince Gong's Mansion, are you equivalent to Heshen? He was killed in advance, and accumulated so much wealth for Aixinjuelu. In short, it is too small. This stay at the Clouds Hotel truly exceeded our expectations! First, the service was incredibly warm and attentive, from check-in to check-out. The cleanliness was impeccable; the room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The biggest surprise was the hotel's "Mount Tai" climbing guide, which provided detailed information on routes, transportation, and nearby restaurants. It was like a "personal guide," saving us the time of planning our trip. The room was very quiet, completely undisturbed by the outside world, and I had a wonderful night's rest.
It's definitely worth the challenge, provided you avoid taking the car or cable car up or down. The mountain scenery is truly beautiful, and the stone carvings, including many works of calligraphy by literati and scholars, are truly magnificent.

On a summer evening, head to the Temple of Heaven. It boasts more than just the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and the Echo Wall, but also ancient trees and shady trails. Birds can stroll through the grass, and squirrels happily forage for food. It's a pure, healing energy. The red walls near the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests are a uniquely Beijing red. Surrounded by ancient trees dating back three to five hundred years, simply walking among them feels like visiting an ancient site. Mighty trees offer a shady umbrella, and relaxing on a bench beneath them, feeling the surging greenery and the setting sun, is a truly relaxing experience.
The Temple of Heaven is much larger than I imagined. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is truly majestic and spectacular. You can't truly appreciate it without experiencing it firsthand. I highly recommend going if you haven't been!

The scenic area is shaded by green trees, with pine and bamboo groves and numerous springs, which fully reflects the characteristics of Jinan, the City of Springs. It is very popular and has a strong cultural atmosphere. There are relics of famous literati such as Li Qingzhao, an exhibition of the anti-Japanese deeds of the people of Jinan in those days, and various cultural and creative products. It is worth a visit!
There are many springs in Baotu Spring. Jinan is worthy of being called the City of Springs. The center of the main spring is constantly rolling like boiling water. Other small springs will bubble up from the bottom of the spring when you shout loudly. Nature is really amazing.

The scenic area's shuttle service was average, but the fare was cheap. There was nowhere to put the stroller on the bus, and the staff just watched and refused to help. The service was lacking. The guide we hired was quite good at explaining the tour.
I stayed in Taiyuan for 2 nights. It's a bit further from the city center than the Jin Temple. Although it was off-season, there were still a lot of people. I listened to the official audio guide briefly and followed the instructions to walk around. It took about 2-3 hours. It's still worth the trip. There is a museum inside and a large park outside. Many local elderly people come here for a walk.

The Summer Palace is at its most beautiful at sunset, a beauty so captivating it's hard to leave. On several autumn evenings, I'd come to the shores of Kunming Lake, quietly waiting for the sun to set, watching the golden ball of fire slowly sink behind the Western Hills. The setting sun's afterglow tinged the towering mountains with a reddish-purple hue, and the clouds above were dyed a brilliant golden orange. Quietly sitting by the lake, I immersed myself in the beauty and grandeur of the cosmos, almost oblivious to my own existence.
The scenery is beautiful, but what is more important is to understand the background and significance of the construction of the Summer Palace. I will bring my children here again next time. Xiucai said that Guide Li knows history well and speaks humorously. It is very educational. I also encountered several spots that were open today. I was lucky to see them.

There are many attractions in the city, so it's best to set aside a full day to visit. Xietongqing, the Confucian Temple, and the Pingyao County Yamen are all worth visiting. The county yamen has a court performance, so you can go there in advance to wait for it to start. There are many places to eat in the ancient city. I recommend Tianyuankui. The food is very good, the service is great, and the price is quite affordable with the coupon.
The Pingyao City Wall is located in Pingyao County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. It was first built during the reign of King Xuan of the Western Zhou Dynasty (827-728 BC) and covers an area of approximately 85,690 square meters. The western and northern sides of the wall were built by the Western Zhou general Yin Jifu when he stationed troops here during his northern expedition against the Xianyun. It is a national cultural relic protection unit.
