Fun fact of my train travel experience

“I used to ride to school every day on an old slam-door diesel train. Occasionally even older rolling stock would appear, with a door at every set of seats. At some of the tiny stations along the line, the train was often longer than the platform, and passengers would have to help each other climb on and off. It taught me more about the quiet community of rail travel than any journey since.”
