Renfe Disabled People Fare

Disabled travellers can enjoy Renfe's discounts, offering up to 40% off. By purchasing a Tarjeta Dorada for €6, you can travel on AVE, Avant, and Cercanías trains for a year. The discount on Avant trains is more substantial on weekends. Refunds or changes to tickets depend on the type of ticket and may come with a fee.

Renfe Young Persons Fare

Renfe provides young people aged 14 to 25 with up to 30% off train fares through the Más Renfe Joven Card, which costs €50. This card is valid for one year and cannot be transferred. Básico is the cheapest fare on AVE trains. It is not refundable or changeable.

Elige Estándar fare on AVE trains is slightly more expensive than the Básico fare. This ticket option opens the possibility of refunds (70% of original ticket price) and one change free of charge along with many additional paid services.

Elige Confort is slightly more expensive than Elige Estándar. The main difference is that the seats are XL Confort, which are wider and offer more leg room.
