There are also different species of woodpeckers, golden eagles, alpine salamanders, as well as a variety of colorful butterflies. In the waters of the river Shale that meanders in the middle of Thethi, there is also marble trout. Thethi has the appearance of a basin 800 meters above sea level. It is located between a crown of steep peaks, such as: Radohima, Arap Peak, Alise Peak, which stand out for the rare beauties throughout the Alps. The Shala River flows through the village, with its abundant, fast-flowing water, crystal clear and ice-cold. Archaeological finds belonging to the Neolithic period have been discovered by chance by non-specialists in the Mercury cave, but unfortunately these findings have not aroused interest among specialists in the field. The exception is the Kusia cave of Ndue Gjoni between Mërkurth and Kurbnesh, on the left of the Uraka Stream, which was discovered and studied in 1994 by a group of Roman speleologists, together with Albanian speleologists. The study is not yet complete. According to researchers, the cave has great scientific, cultural, didactic and tourist values.
