What people are saying:

The Monte Carlo Opera (Opéra) is part of the Monte Carlo Playground in the Principality of Monaco. Due to the lack of cultural transfer in Monaco in the 1870s, Prince Charles III and the French Savings Bank decided to use the concert hall as part of the playground. It opened in 1879 and is known as Salle Garnier by the architect Charles Garnier who designed it. The Opera House has been transformed into a grand dinner party twice in its 130-year history. The first time was in 1966, the 100th Anniversary Celebration of Monte-Carlo, organized by Grace Kelly and Rainier III. The second is the royal wedding of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene. The Opera House underwent a third renovation on July 27, 2013 to host a love ball.
